Her latest outing comes just a day after she graced the cover of the latest issue of WSJ. Magazine.

She touched on several subjects in her accompanying profile, including what it has been like since launching production company LuckyChap and acting career, but remained mum on was her starring role in the Barbie film, which will be released next year.

The only thing that she elaborated on was that Barbie was ‘the child’ archetype for Margot as she said that even the most minuscule details revealed publicly could end up ‘blowing up into a headline.’

The performer did compare her role in the project to one she had previously in 2017 critically-acclaimed film I, Tonya.

She said: ‘That’s why I, Tonya intrigued us so much— because people had such an immediate and strong reaction to the name “Tonya Harding.” It’s kind of amazing to begin at a place like that.’

According to Vulture, the film is ‘a fish-out-of-water story about a doll who is ousted from toy society for not being perfect enough’.

Another synopsis on IMDB reads: ‘A doll living in “Barbieland” is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world. A live-action feature film based on the popular line of Barbie toys.’

Oscar winner Ryan Gosling is starring opposite Robbie as he takes on the role of Barbie’s boyfriend Ken.

Other members of the cast include Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, America Ferrara, Rhea Perlman, Ariana Greenblatt, Ana Cruz Kayne, Alexandra Shipp, Ritu Arya, Sharon Rooney, Connor Swindells, Scott Evans and Jamie Demetriou.

Speaking of roles like the aforementioned one which was nominated for an Academy Award, Margot discussed her inclination toward draining roles as she said: ‘I’m a masochist. I can always find a fifth gear.’

Her next role is also a highly-anticipated one as she leads a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Jean Smart, Olivia Wilde, Tobey Maguire, Katherine Waterson, Spike Jonze, Flea, Phoebe Tonkin, and Eric Roberts in Damien Chazelle written and directed flick Babylon.

Margot’s dedication will once again be on display as she said: ‘I’ve never worked that hard in my life. [I was] shattered by the end of that job.’

She looked absolutely stunning in the photoshoot by Cass Bird as donned chic ensembles courtesy of stylist Katelyn Gray.

Margot is not only starring in films but is also making them as she started production company LuckyChap with Josey McNamara, Sophia Kerr and now-husband Tom Ackerley.

Of starting the company – which aim to promote female stories from female storytellers – she said: ‘I remember saying, “Every time I pick up a script, I want to play the guy.

‘Wouldn’t it be so cool if people pick up scripts that we’re making and always wanted to play the female role? [We were] too young and dumb to know how scary [it would] be.

‘Starting it all off on a kitchen bench in London, everyone was like: ‘They’re such idiots…it would be a miracle if they did anything.’

LuckyChap Entertainment was founded in 2014 and has produced film and television series I, Tonya (2017), the Hulu TV series Dollface (2019), Birds of Prey and Promising Young Woman (both 2020).
