Margot Robbie got the support of her mother Sarie Kessler at the premiere of her latest film Babylon on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The Academy Award-nominee, 32, hit the red carpet with the 65-year-old physiotherapist before heading into the star-studded screening held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Margot modeled a show-stopping hooded black cut-out dress while Sarie stunned in a plunging black gown with colorful beaded shoulders.

Adding to the drama of Margot’s look was a bizarre fur-trim train that hung down her left leg and grazed the floor. 

Most of the Australian star’s silky blonde hair was concealed by the hood of her dress, through several pieces were left out to frame her face. 

She slipped into semi-sheer tights and black pumps to complete the look.

Meanwhile, Sarie’s stylish black dress had a thigh-high slit that allowed her to show off her slender legs and silver platform heels.

Sarie beamed with pride while soaking up the fanfare with her youngest daughter.

Sarie raised Margot and her three siblings as a single mother in Queensland, Australia. Their father Doug Robbie is a sugarcane tycoon who reportedly left Margot and her three siblings when they were younger, according to New Idea in 2016.

Sarie has always supported Margot’s acting dreams, even before her days on the soap opera Neighbors.

And in the September 2019 issue of Vogue Australia, Margot revealed that she’d spent her first-ever acting paycheck on her mother.

Margot explained to Sarie, who was interviewing her for the magazine, that she used the money to payback the debt she owed her.

Margot’s big break came in 2008, when she debuted on Neighbours as Donna Freedman, a role she played for three years.

But in 2011, Hollywood beckoned and she began auditioning for U.S. television shows and movies.

I, Tanya earned Margot her first Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category 

Her second nomination came in 2020 for her role in Bombshell (2019). She was in the running for Best Supporting Actress.

Along with Margot, it also stars Brad Pitt, Jovan Adepo, Jean Smart, Diego Calva, Tobey Maguire, his longtime friend Lukas Haas, Olivia Wilde, Max Minghella and Eric Roberts, among many more.

Bablyon is written and directed by Damien Chazelle, who previously helmed the music drama Whiplash, the Oscar-winning musical La La Land and the acclaimed box office flop First Man, which starred Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong.

It hits theaters on December 23.
