A man has been arrested after a car was abandoned at Gatwick Airport causing police to launch an evacuation.
The car was left in the drop-off parking area at the London airport’s North Terminal at 5.30pm on Friday evening.
Sussex Police say a cordon has been put in place and declared the incident as ‘ongoing’.
A spokesman for Sussex Police confirmed a man was arrested at the airport.

The spokesman said: ‘We are currently dealing with an incident at Gatwick Airport.
‘A man has been detained.
‘As a precaution, a cordon is in place at the drop-off parking area at the North Terminal.’
