MAFS gaslighter Harrison Boon is called out for his ‘bad acting’ as he cries during podcast interview with Ella and Dom – who don’t believe his emotions are real

Married At First Sight’s Harrison Boon has been called out yet again for ‘fake crying’ – and this time it was to his face.

The 32-year-old builder was repeatedly called out for turning on the waterworks on MAFS, with viewers unconvinced his emotions were genuine.

Despite the scepticism over his tearful displays, Harrison cried twice during his two-hour interview with Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding on the Sit With Us podcast.

Ella pulled several faces at the camera while Harrison was trying to be vulnerable, before telling him she found it hard to believe he was being sincere.

At one point, his voice began to shake and he was crying without any visible tears as he spoke of his friendship with his fellows grooms, including Jesse Burford.

‘In the moments that we needed each other most, we had each other’s backs, and I saw that with Josh [White] and I saw it with Jesse,’ he told Dom and Ella.

‘The most powerful moment in the experiment for me was when Jesse was on the couch and John [Aiken, the MAFS relationship expert] was going at him constantly and he was like, “If you didn’t attend the dinner party, would you still write leave? Do you think Harrison ruined your relationship?”

‘And Jesse said, “Don’t blame Haz, he has been like a brother to me,” and in that moment I was like, “That’s real strength.” He showed real strength in that moment.’

Ella and Domenica later mocked this moment when they uploaded the clip on the Sit With Us Instagram page, adding the snarky caption: ‘Pray for Haz.’

Many listeners flocked to the comments section to say they believed Harrison wasn’t actually crying and it was just ‘bad acting’.

‘That’s real crap acting, go build some houses mate,’ one wrote. Another said: ‘Is this guy actually a meme?… This is so funny.’

Earlier in the interview, Ella called Harrison out for his ‘bad acting’ after he became emotional talking about his ex-partner and his three-year-old son August.

He choked up as he told the hosts the mother of his child had cheated on him and taken his son to the other side of the state.

‘I struggle to talk when I get emotional,’ the tradie said, wiping at his eyes.

‘That was the single hardest thing I’ve ever been through because not only did I find out that the person I was deeply in love didn’t feel that way about me but was looking elsewhere.

‘And in the process of that break-up I had my son taken halfway across the state and that was the single hardest thing I’ve ever been through.’

Despite Harrison speaking about a very personal subject, Ella said to his face she wasn’t buying his emotions.

‘It’s really hard watching Harrison cry because I’m just not feeling it,’ she said.

‘I don’t know what it is. I think because I’m a viewer and I’ve seen him get emotional on television and people called it fake and not not real, and for some reason I am just not feeling the emotion.

‘I can see you are crying, there are tears in your eyes, but it’s so hard for me to believe the emotion. I’m sitting here right now and I don’t feel like it’s real.’

Harrison hit back at Ella, saying he was insulted she said his feelings weren’t real.
