MAFS: Bronte Schofield feels like a ‘clown’ after Harrison Boon’s number-swapping scandal

MAFS star Bronte Schofield admits she feels like a ‘bloody clown’ after watching her husband Harrison Boon’s latest cheating scandal play out on Wednesday.

In the episode, it was revealed the 32-year-old builder had exchanged numbers with another woman while on a night out with the boys.

He later said he deleted the woman’s number from his phone straight away, but not before putting the blame on fellow groom Dan Hunjas.

Relationship experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Alessandra Rampolla were in disbelief as Harrison ‘snaked’ on his mate to avoid any accountability.

Bronte was calm about the situation on the show, saying she wanted to give her partner the benefit of the doubt.

However, speaking to Nova FM’s Fitzy & Wippa on Thursday morning, Bronte said she was upset watching the previous night’s episode.

‘Guys, you know, hindsight is a very beautiful thing,’ she told hosts Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.

‘And I think people forget that I’m watching this back for the first time along with the rest of Australia.

‘So it’s really upsetting for me to think when he told me about the number [swapping] that I was actually happy about it. I know that sounds crazy.

‘But it’s because I thought he was actually taking accountability and apologising for putting me in a position where I wouldn’t have to question his intentions anymore.

‘But don’t get me wrong, the clocks were ticking, but I just I didn’t want another blow-up. But I wish I did because watching him go around and meddle with everyone’s story…

‘And you know the fact he was so willing to throw Dan under the bus and humiliate me in the process. You know, I want to say I’m shocked, but am I? Because it’s Harrison?’

The radio hosts pointed out that she sounded nervous, and Bronte admitted she was still upset after watching Wednesday’s episode.

‘Yeah, it’s actually upset me, guys, like, watching this back last night,’ she said.

‘You know, like, it just sucks because I was so… I was stoked that I thought we were turning [over] a new leaf.

‘And I’m, like… everyone change my number in the phone to the clown emoji because I’m a bloody clown.’

As their relationship has been nothing short of a disaster so far on MAFS, Fitzy questioned why Bronte decided to stay at the commitment ceremony.

He suggested some fans suspected she was doing it to ‘up her profile’.

‘Oh, of course, people are going to say that, God forbid, actually I want to try with the experiment!’ she said.

‘It’s one of those things where everyone keeps saying to me, “Oh, why doesn’t she just leave [because] in real life you would leave?”

‘And I’m like, “Well, I’m not in real life. I’m in an experiment and the man told me he wanted to stay and that he wasn’t going anywhere.”

‘So I thought, “Alright, once we put in effort, let’s give it another week.” And then he writes leave!’
