Machine Gun Kelly appears to have gotten quite a shock during an electrifying performance on Friday in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The 32-year-old rapper-turned-rocker — who caught up with his fiancée Megan Fox later in the evening — was singing on stage at the Coors Light Bird’s Nest for a party head of Sunday’s Super Bowl when he claims he was ‘electrocuted.’
In video he shared to his Instagram Stories, he can be seen singing and jumping about animatedly when his hair suddenly stands up amid a blast from smoke and air cannons surrounding him.
It’s unclear if MGK was actually electrocuted, or if he was joking in his caption because of his staticky hair, but TMZÂ notes that no medical personnel showed up to assist him.
The outlet notes that the pop-punk star rocked out on stage for close to two hours.
Shocking! Machine Gun Kelly, 32, claimed he was electrocuted while performing ahead of the Super Bowl in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Friday night
In the clip, MGK jumps up and briefly pulls the microphone from his face as he steps backward.
Just then, blasts of smoke from air cannons go off along the sides of the walkway into the audience that he is performing on.
That’s when his feathery blond hair suddenly shoots up in the air, after previously lying limp in a shaggy hairdo.
Although he may have been zapped at that moment, there isn’t an obvious sign from him that he is in any kind of distress in the clip.
‘Yooo I got electricuted and my hair stood up [sic],’ he captioned video taken from the side of stage, while adding a crying and laughing emoji and lightning bolts.
After his hair stood up, MGK (real name: Colson Baker) put his mic down for a moment while letting the guide track that he sang along with take over.
He flipped his head back and forth, which seemed to calm his hair down a bit and got it back to hanging like normal.
Then he appeared to run back to the main part of the stage, where he could get close to fans in another section of the venue as he continued performing.Â

Other explanations: Due to the lack of any obvious medical response or any obvious distress onstage, MGK may just have had his hair standing up due to the blasts from the air cannons, along with whatever hair product he was using at the time
