A real estate agent who starred in hit TV show Luxe Listings and is accused of assaulting his estranged wife has been suspended from his job.

Evan James Williams, who was a contractor for The Rubenstein Group, was stood down after an altercation at a group photo with colleagues last week.

Williams is accused of assaulting his estranged wife Kashaya Williams over 15 years at their former homes in Sydney‘s east.

Police allege Williams threw chilli powder in her face and pushed her up against a wall on separate occasions.

Real estate insiders told Sydney ConfidentialĀ that Williams was suspended from his job after he becameĀ ‘verbally aggressive’ towards other real estate agents.

‘He thought they were pinching what he thought were his listings,’ one claimed.Ā 

Insiders claimed Williams had a rivalry with sales teams atĀ Cae Thomas and Jye Emdur, promptingĀ TRG founder Gavin Rubenstein to take action.

‘He became a bit deluded as to his status following his appearance on Luxe Listings,’ an insider claimed.

Daily Mail Australia contacted TRG and Williams for comment.Ā 

Williams has been charged with five counts of common assault, one count of intimidation, and one count of assault causing bodily harm against his estranged wife.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges at Waverley Court House on Thursday.

Police allege he threw chilli powder in his wife’s face and pushed her up against a wall on different occasions, theĀ Daily Telegraph reported.

Court documents showed Ms Williams told police that she was cooking a meal in the kitchen when her husband began to yell at her in 2005.

Court documents also showed Ms Williams told police she was pushed up against a wall by her husband when she accused him of having an affair in 2014.

She alleged Williams put his hands around her neck, squeezed, and only let go when she bit him and pushed him away.

Ms Williams reported the allegations to Rose Bay Police before her husband presented himself to Waverley Police Station on June 3.

He was slapped with aĀ provisional apprehended domestic and personal violence order that prevented him from coming within 200m of her.

The pair are understood to no longer be together with Williams living at a property in Randwick.Ā 

Ms Williams is a florist and wedding planner who worked on high-profile weddings including that of Bachelor couple Anna and Tim Robards.
