Model Natasha Ghouri, 23, is set to becomes Love Island’s first ever deaf contestant as the ITV show returns for its eighth series

Love Island will return for it’s eight series in a matter of days.

And it’s been revealed that the ITV dating show has signed up it’s first ever deaf contestant. 

According to The Sun model and dancer Natasha Ghouri, 23, will be one of the first contestants to enter the Mallorca villa next week.

The blonde beauty, who was born deaf, showed off her beach ready body in sultry lingerie snaps she shared to her Instagram grid.

The statuesque star went viral last year when she showed her cochlear implant in a earring commercial for fast fashion brand ASOS.

She said at the time: ‘No matter what disability you’ve got, you can do it’.

A source told the publication: ‘Everyone is very excited. It’s something really positive for youngsters to see.  Natasha looks amazing in a bikini and has a bubbly personality’. 

EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, won last year’s Strictly Come Dancing and a spokesperson for the Royal National Institute For The Deaf said: ‘We are really pleased that another major tv show is featuring a deaf contestant. Representation matters’.

This comes after the ITV show recently shared its first teasers for its eight series proclaiming itself to be the ‘OG of love’ compared to other rival dating shows.

Love Island said: ‘Love Island is the OG of dating shows and after 7 years of matchmaking, marriages and babies, for 8 weeks this summer, we’re officially owning love. So stand down all you pretenders – Love Is Ours.’

The preview cheekily poked fun at shows Naked Attraction, Celebs Go Dating and Ex On The Beach, by showing a TV with the title ‘Naked Celebs Go Dating On A Beach.’

A pink trainer squashes the TV, before the word ‘LOVE’ with a flag saying ‘WE OWN IT’, comes up next to the iconic Love Island pool and a little animated Millie Court with her keyboard from the infamous talent show last season.

It comes after Love Island bosses confirmed they were on the lookout for a new villa in March, following swirling speculation among viewers.

Contestants on the show have filmed at the same Majorcan property for five years, however producers have started hunting for a new space on the island in a bid to spruce up the show.

Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment, told PA Media how the ‘marvellous’ new mansion will make for a ‘great’ eighth series.

He revealed of the sprawling property: ‘We didn’t own it. We rented it and we are choosing a new house for this summer so that is all secrecy.

‘It is going to be marvellous. Yes, it is going to be in Mallorca. It is going to be a great one [series].’
