Love Island fans were left cringing on Monday night after Kai Fagan mistook new Casa Amor girl, Lydia Karakyriakou, for someone he thought he knew – mistakingly shouting out ‘Kim’ to the new islander.
And now, fans have found the Instagram of the real life Kim, who Kai thought had entered the villa – and explaining to Cosmopolitan UK that she is ‘flattered’ over the mix up, the brunette does actually look very similar to Lydia.
Revealed as Manchester based air stewardess Kim, the beauty has been inundated with attention from fans as they were overjoyed to find her.
Talking to Cosmpolitan on the newfound attention, Kim admitted that she was ‘flattered’ by the Kai’s error, and sees the resemblance herself.
Explaining how she knows the teacher, she added: ‘I’ve known Kai for years now. We grew up in the same area and share lots of mutual friends. I feel flattered that people think I look like [bombshell Lydia]’.

Awkward: Kai thought new girl Lydia was Kim as she walked in, and began shouting: ‘Kim, Kim!’ across the villa – to no response
As the Casa Amor girls descended on the villa during Monday evening’s episode of Love Island, they crossed the pool in their bikinis and heels to say hello to the boys.
But in an awkward moment, Kai, pointing towards Lydia Karakyriakou, said to the boys around him: ‘Bro I know her, I know her’.
Getting increasingly flustered, he then shouts across the garden: ‘Kim!’, to which, of course, no one responded.
Quickly realising his mistake, Kai then says: ‘Oh no I don’t know her. I don’t know her. She looks exactly like a girl I know’.
Speaking with Cosmopolitan, Kim explained that she knows the teacher well, sharing: ‘I’ve known Kai for years now. We grew up in the same area and share lots of mutual friends.
‘I feel flattered that people think I look like [bombshell Lydia], at a brief glance I can see the resemblances so easy mistake for him to make! She is stunning.’
Kai doesn’t seem to be the only one who noticed the resemblance, with Kim admitting that pals actually informed her of the likeness between her and Lydia before the episode aired.
She added: ‘Before Kai shouted my name, I had several people sending me her photo from the Love Island Insta page saying that I looked like her.’
There’s no denying that Scottish influencer Lydia and Kim look very similar, both with wavy brunette locks and similar features.

One fan wrote: ‘The second hand embarrassment I’m getting from Kai because he thought he knew her’
Another agreed: ‘Kai thinking he knew her and shouting the wrong name is the biggest ICK’.
Others were left in hysterics, with one viewer saying: ‘WHY DID KAI JUST SHOUT KIM AT A RANDOM GIRL I’M CRYING’.
‘Kai, WHO THE HELL IS KIM???’, another asked.
Summing up the situation, one fan said: ‘Kai ruined all of his chances with these girls with one word’.
It comes after the Love Island girls were whisked away to Casa Amor during Sunday’s episode of the ITV reality series to meet a new batch of sexy singletons.

And as the girls got to know the new arrivals, the original boys in the villa were left to go to bed alone wondering where their partners had gone.
However the following morning, they too were treated to a new batch of Islanders as six new girls made a dramatic arrival in the main villa.
New girl Sammy was first to open the door into the garden as she says: ‘Hey boys, we heard you were alone!’
After sitting down around the fire pit, they all introduced themselves as Sammy, Layla, Cynthia, Lydia, Sanam and Lynda.
After they’d all introduced themselves, Casey and Shaq give the girls a guided tour of the Villa.
As they pass the kitchen, Lydia cheekily asks: ‘Is that where you’re going to be making me my coffee in the morning, Casey…?’
Things appeared to be going just as well in the secret second villa. Olivia Hawkins joked she’d forgotten her partner Kai Fagan‘s name after the Casa Amor boys descended on the new villa.
The ring girl, 27, admitted finance student Maxwell Samuda, 23, was ‘definitely’ her type and that he was ‘attractive’ during Monday’s episode.

She replied during the flirty chat: ‘No you’re not wasting your time. You’re an attractive guy and definitely my type.’
Maxwell was joined by Frankie, Bayley, Martin, Kain and Ryan as they met the girls for the first time.
Martin told them: ‘You lot look gorgeous,’ while Kain added: ‘You are all my type!’
