While Luca told the girls: ‘This hasn’t been an easy decision, you’re all beautiful inside and out. We’ll be gutted to see you leave. We thought about who is open to love and who’s got a better connection at the moment. ‘The girl we’ve decided to dump from the Island is, Antigoni.’

While Charlie said: ‘Yeah short and sweet, it’s been great though. I literally loved it, such a good experience.’

After saying goodbye to Charlie and Antigoni, Danica and Jay could both be see thanking their co-stars for keeping them in the villa.

While during a private conversation, Tasha told Andrew that she wasn’t ‘massively surprised’ by the result. She mused over the fact they haven’t had a ‘typical’ love story.

Danica then pulled all the boys to say thank you for keeping her in, as Luca explained to her that if they were picking it on a friendship basis they might have saved Antigoni.

The morning after the dumping, Davide reflected on the public voting for him and Ekin-Su as compatible.

When asked by Dami how it felt he says: ‘Naturally I felt very appreciated. They probably saw the connection that there is.

‘They probably saw when we laugh together, we are real, it’s not something fake. I felt good about it yesterday night, and last night I was a bit more open with her.’

Ekin-Su had similar thoughts speaking on the terrace with the girls, as she admitted: ‘I’m very, very grateful that the public believed in my choice. Me and Davide – there was always something there from the start.’

Ekin-Su shared with the girls that she had received cuddles from Davide and he had held her hand under the covers while they were in bed together.

Following the advice of the boys, Davide brought Ekin-Su a coffee while she got ready, a gesture that did not go unnoticed by the h soap star.

Ekin-Su said in the Beach Hut: ‘I remember Davide was like, ”I’m not going to make you coffee every morning, I’m not going to do this, don’t expect me to change” and it’s just really nice to just see him again, fresh start, a nice coffee.’

Ekin-Su later returned his sweet gesture by making Davide pancakes after his gym workout. During a chat with Dami later, she confided that she feels happy the public can see what she sees in Davide.

Elsewhere, Tasha was feeling upset after being left in the bottom three following the public vote and admitted she was questioning whether she is ‘compatible’ with Andrew.

Tasha grew emotional and told Paige she ‘feels like s**t inside’ and doesn’t understand why people watching can’t see the connection they have.

Gemma wanted to check in on the couple and see if they were okay after the news where Tasha admitted it got to her ‘a lot more than she let on’, as she revealed the vote messed with her head.

On the other side of the pool, Davide was once again talking about Ekin-Su ,saying: ‘I never thought that I could go back with her. But after the date, I feel like I’m meeting her for the first time.’

‘I’m already doing a lot by giving her a chance. She’s slightly different.’

Things with Ekin-Su are going well, I’m trying to be open and not tried to the past. I’m trying to enjoy day-by-day, h hour by hour.

Jacques and Paige had a conversation about whether they had been cheated on in the past. Paige confided in Jacques that she had been cheated on twice in previous relationships.

When asked if that affects how she feels about him, Paige said: ‘I do very very confident in us. But you never know how people coming are going to look or be.’

Elsewhere in the episode, the couple spent quality time together cosying up together in the swimming pool.

Jack said that his father, who is a singer in Boyzone, is ‘buzzing’ that he is entering the famous Love Island villa.

‘My dad is a singer, Ronan Keating. He will be watching when I’m on it for sure,’ he said.

‘He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates.’

Jack is not the first Love Island contestant this year to have famous family connections, as Gemma’s father is English former professional footballer Michael Owen.

And when asked why he wants to go on Love Island, the social media marketing worker said: ‘I’ve been single for a long time, probably 4 or 5 years now and I’ve really been missing that spark that I haven’t been getting on the dating scene, like I’ve been dating for a long time.

‘And I just thought why not? Hopefully I’ll get a connection with somebody and see what happens.’

The famous singer’s son appears to enjoy travel, often posting a series of globe-trotting snaps on his Instagram.

Jack also shows off his athletic side on social media, flaunting his muscular build in action shots as he plays rugby.

Jack said he hopes to bring ‘a bit of energy’ to the villa, saying he’s a ‘pretty positive, fun guy’.

He cheekily added: ‘I think some good chat and a bit of Irish charm as well.’

The new contestant added that he won’t be afraid to tread on any toes, saying: ‘I’m very competitive, for sure.

‘I play rugby back home in Dublin and in London so I’ve definitely got that competitive edge.

‘I’m gonna have to potentially break up a couple maybe. It won’t be the most ideal thing, but I’ve got to do what’s best for me.’

The When You Say Nothing At All singer’s son added: ‘I’m definitely loyal, my loyalties are obviously with the girl I’m with.

‘I’ve never cheated on anyone. I can be very compassionate, I’m not afraid to tell a girl how I feel – I wear my heart on my sleeve a lot of the time.’

Jack thinks he’s still single because he just hasn’t ‘met the right girl’. ‘That’s what I keep telling myself,’ he joked.

Also on the troublemaking line-up is 25-year-old Deji Adeniyi.

The accounts manager from Bedford claims he wants to go on the show because ‘my sex life is amazing but my love life is awful’.

Impressing the ladies: Meanwhile 22-year-old Samuel Agbiji from Manchester is hoping to get the opportunity to impress a girl with his culinary skills

He continued: ‘I am the master of failed talking stages. My love life isn’t going the right way so one night I decided to apply for Love Island and now I’m here!’

Deji hopes he’ll bring ‘an energy that makes people realise that love is real’.

He added: ‘I’m really going to wear my heart on my sleeve through this. A lot of people take the power of love for granted and I hope people are more open to their sensitive side. I was someone who was really closed off to it.’

Citing his more unconventional flirting methods, Deji claims the way to get a girl to like you is ‘by not giving them attention’.

Star: Billy Brown, a roofing company director from Surrey is set to enter the villa

Energetic: Third on the list is Josh Samuel Le Grove, a 22-year-old model from Essex. Josh hopes to maybe 'bring a little bit of trouble' to the villa, alongside 'a lot of energy'

Also set to stir up trouble in the villa is Josh Samuel Le Grove, a 22-year-old model from Essex.

Josh hopes to maybe ‘bring a little bit of trouble’ to the villa, alongside ‘a lot of energy’ and ‘good chat’.

He said: ‘I’ve always been single. If you’re going to find someone, it’ll be in a place where everyone is single and looking for the same thing.’

The model said he is ‘competitive’ and would ‘definitely step on someone’s toes’, but isn’t going to ‘take a big risk if I wasn’t feeling them 100 per cent’.

Speaking of his ideal match, Josh said: ‘If I were to settle down with someone it would be serious – I would give them 100 per cent.

‘Personality wise, I’m looking for someone who can stick up for themselves and hold their own. Up for a laugh, funny and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.’

However, his perfect partner has to have good dental hygiene as Josh’s ick is a girl who doesn’t brush her tongue – or takes herself too seriously.

Speaking of what puts him off, the hunk said: ‘For me, it has to be bad manners. Everyone should have good manners. And being materialistic or self obsessed.’

He added: ‘I’ve been single now for three years. I had a relationship with a girl from Australia – my only girlfriend.

‘It was a long distance relationship so 10,000 miles apart for almost three years. I’m a lot more mature now and I know what I want in a relationship.’

George said that while is ‘competitive’ and would ‘tread on toes’, he does ‘put other people first’.

The Cotswolds native continued: ‘I learned a lot from my last relationship. I feel like I’m a very giving person.

‘I’m romantic and caring – I do wear my heart on my sleeve. I do put other people first, whether that’s my girlfriend, friends or family.

‘I’m very much a guy who always would make sure she is ok. I’d make her feel special.’

‘I feel like I’m at the stage where I’m happy by myself but I’m ready to pursue a connection with someone again and see where that will take me.’

He also doesn’t want someone ‘really dumb’. Talking of his icks, the model claimed: ‘Number one is bad attitude. Lies and manipulation. And no sense of humour is a turn-off.

‘I find intelligence attractive so if someone is actually really dumb to the point where they don’t have common sense, that’s a turn off.’

Last but not least is Billy Brown, a roofing company director from Surrey.

The 23-year-old is hoping third time’s the charm, saying he’s had two girlfriends before.

He’s keeping an open mind about who he wants to get to know, adding: ‘I’m going to bring the funniness, the vibes, probably step on a few toes, I’m not going to lie. I’ve not got my eye on one girl, it’s all of them! I need to get to know them all.’

Billy also believes his strength lies in a solid romantic core.

He added: ‘When I get into a relationship I’m very, very romantic. At the start I’m quite playful, funny, making everyone laugh.

‘But when you put a name on it, I still have that, but I get more romantic, doing things for them, all the cute stuff.

‘The most romantic thing I’ve done is I asked a girl out with candles. I laid out across the garden “will you be my girlfriend?” in candles.

‘I got her to look out the window and see it on the grass. It took an hour to set up! She said yes – of course!’

The viewers, alongside Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, 27, and Jay Younger, 28, and Danica Taylor, 21, voted them least compatible.

But in true Love Island fashion, fans will have to wait until the next episode to see who goes as the show ended on a cliffhanger.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV hub. Episodes are available the following morning on Britbox.
