Love Is Blind star Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee is doubling down on his criticism of Nick Lachey after slamming the 48-year-old former boyband member on Instagram last month.

The 35-year-old veterinarian told Us Weekly that he does not regret his remarks after he drew criticism when he said on the season two reunion episode that the only person he had an attraction to on the show was Nick’s wife and Love Is Blind co-host Vanessa Lachey, 41.

‘Hey, tell me how attracted you are to [my girlfriend] Emily [Wilson],’ Shake said.

Shake began dating Emily after ex-fiancee Deepti Vempati left him at the altar in the show’s season finale.

He continued, ‘Tell me she’s beautiful. She’s gorgeous. She’s hot, but she’s mine,’

The television personality added, ‘You can look, but you can’t touch, pal.’

Shake referred to Nick as a ‘little b—tch’ following their clash on the reunion episode.

He explained that he believed it was a ‘compliment’ to comment on someone’s partner’s attractiveness.

‘That’s a compliment unless you’re an insecure, insecure guy,’ he said ‘If you’re insecure then, yeah, any anything’s upsetting if you’re an insecure guy.’

The reality star later called Nick out over his treatment of ex-wife Jessica Simpson, 41, to whom the musician was married from October 2002 to December 2005.

Last month, the DJ shared a clip from Nick and Jessica’s MTV show Newlyweds in which the former 98 Degree singer refused to open his then-wife’s car door.

‘@NickLachey not even opening the car door for his wife. Sad,’ he wrote in the caption of the Instagram video, which he subsequently deleted.

In his interview with Us, Shake defended himself against The Ultimatum host’s criticism and accusations that he had mistreated Deepti, pointing to Nick’s treatment of Jessica.

‘Honestly, he treated Jessica Simpson like garbage for years. And guess what? That’s documented big boy,’ he said.

‘All right, 98 degrees. Are you kidding me? More like 32 degrees. You haven’t been 98 degrees since 1998 pal.’

Shake said that Nick ‘got jealous’ of Jessica’s success after 98 Degrees ‘never took off’.

‘[She was] stunning, talented, beautiful, ambitious, everything that made you a little sad,’ Shake said  ‘[And] you decided to take it out on her by being a jerk.’

The Chicago native also indicated that Nick was being hypocritical in his criticism, noting that Nick had met Vanessa on the set of his music video.

‘Is love blind or did you meet on the set of a music video? Like, OK. Then you come on here and tell me how I treat people [poorly] and talk to people.’

He continued, ‘You single me out when you’re supposed to be an impartial host like, bro, you’re a washed up nobody.’

Shake’s latest remarks come after he took to Instagram on last month to criticize the Nick over a confrontation on the show’s season two reunion episode in regards to his career as a veterinarian.

In a post that was later removed from the site, Chatterjee wrote, ‘Reunion summed up in a photo. You put a doctor on the show… of course you were going to see some critical thinking.

‘Speaking of which, @nicklachey you’re a massive t*** for your comment dragging vets. You do realize that becoming a veterinarian considerably more difficult than becoming a human doc right?’

He added: ‘Also consider learning how to be an impartial host before the season 3 reunion airs. Sorry I didn’t play along with your narrative like the rest of these puppets. Say hi to @vanessalachey for me.’

In a picture accompanying the post, Shake was seen arguing with Lachey who said that his veterinary career was the result of him not understanding how to treat people. The image saw the show’s Shayne Jansen, Kyle Abrams and Salvador Perez looking bewildered at the exchange.

Chatterjee said in an Instagram Stories post that the post aimed at Lachey ‘got taken down,’ adding, ‘Censor much?’

Chatterjee subsequently remarked that the only person he had an attraction to on the show was Vanessa.

Chatterjee said on the reunion, ‘We all have our physical preferences. Listen, every woman in here is beautiful. I think you’re all beautiful. I’m not attracted to all of you. Unfortunately, the only one I’m attracted to is Vanessa – and I wish I wasn’t! I wish I wasn’t. The point is, it’s not a choice. You don’t choose. It’s nature, baby. We’re animals.’

Nick then said, ‘No, you treat animals – we’re human beings – there’s a big difference.’

Chatterjee had faced criticism that he was too focused on looks, as the show seeks to make matches without the contestants seeing one another.

‘Love is not purely blind to me,’ Chatterjee said on the reunion episode. ‘I want it to be partially blind. I want it to be: ‘Love Is Blurry,’ OK?’

Chatterjee also faced criticism on the show for stating he wasn’t attracted to Deepti, who wound up ending the relationship at the altar prior to exchanging vows.

Vempati told US Weekly that she ‘heard from other cast members’ that Chatterjee had said unflattering things behind her back.

‘I just don’t have room for anybody in my life that doesn’t see me in the best way,’ Vempati told the outlet. ‘And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess … I knew what I had to do.’

Chatterjee last week told People that he was ‘the happiest’ he’s been as he’s focused on helping himself.

‘When you prioritize yourself – I think that’s the best relationship advice I could give somebody, honestly,’ he said. ‘When I started focusing on my goals, what I want out of life, my mission, everything else just started to fall in place … and that becomes magnetic. I’m in a good spot right now, despite what it may look like.’

In his latest interview with Us Weekly, Shake said that he was launching a podcast Life Is Blurry. He explained that the title was a reference to his quote from the show, noting that love is blurry instead of blind as the premise of the show argues.

‘There’s a lot of things that are confusing, unclear, foggy, blurry. The change the closer you look at them, the more you look at them, the more you learn and your opinions change,’ Shake said.

‘To me, this is an opportunity to really talk about not only love, but finances, modern dating healthcare, cryptocurrency, cancel culture, sex work, you name it. Because these are all blurry topics. And, interestingly, the more you know about it, it gets less blurry.’
