On the cause of her starting WW, she said: ‘It was a combination of things. I definitely overindulged over Christmas, as we all do. I was finding a size 14 was getting too tight.’

Lorraine said she relished the opportunity to wear a smaller dress to the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards 2022 last month, and felt much more confident about presenting an award as she wasn’t as concerned with how she looked or felt.

And she says her weight loss has revitalised her relationship with her husband Steve.

She explained: ‘Steve says, ”I’ve got you back,” because my energy levels have improved. I’m up for doing stuff now whereas before, at the weekend, I would do some housework and then collapse in front of the telly.’

Lorraine added that Steve enjoys being part of the healthier cooking, adding recipes to his menu as he goes.
