This year’s season of Married At First Sight was one of the loosest yet.
And boisterous groom Al Perkins was up to his usual tricks on Monday morning when he gatecrashed a live broadcast of the Today show on the Gold Coast.
The carpenter, 25, who had been up all night after attending the Logie Awards, arrived on set in a pair of Speedos and jumped into an ice bath to cure his hangover.

He showcased his muscular frame as he smiled and laughed alongside his co-stars Jack Millar and Brent Vitiello.Â
Today hosts Karl Stafanovic and Allison Langdon looked like they were having fun too as the MAFS cast brought plenty of energy to the set.
They were also seen interviewing Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake, and sitting down for a chat with British singer Calum Scott.

During the Logie Awards, Al had performed his signature party trick: doing a shoey.
Only seven out of the 22 participants from this year’s season of Married At First Sight were invited to TV’s night of nights.
Al was joined by Domenica Calarco, Ella Ding, Brent Vitiello, Jack Millar, Selina Chhaur and Dion Giannarelli.

There were accompanied by one couple from the 2021 season: Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente.
It comes after MAFS ‘villain’ Olivia Frazer said she would ‘rather endure several forms of medieval torture than go anywhere to support Married At First Sight’.
‘I don’t want to see that disgusting show be rewarded for their toxic environment and disgusting behaviour,’ she added.

Brent also had an ice bath on the beach, but appeared to handle it better than AlÂ
Brent was seen using a rowing machine on the beach
‘The idea that that toxic dumpster fire of a show is up for an award is beyond me. So no, I’m not going and I don’t want to go, I want nothing to do it.’
Olivia also rubbished reports she had been begging her agent Max Markson to get her an invite for the Logies.
‘I’m not surprised that me and [Jackson Lonie] weren’t invited,’ she said, adding that Nine only invited a select few ‘characters they pushed throughout the season’.

Despite living on the Gold Coast, MAFS 2022 participants Tamara, Samantha Moitzi and Mitch Eynaud were all snubbed from the event.Â
Cheaters Daniel Holmes and Carolina Santos, one of the only couples to remain together from this year’s season, were also forgotten about.
Married At First Sight was nominated for Most Popular Reality Program at the Logies, but lost to MasterChef Australia.
