Collins spoke about her character, simply credited as the ‘wife,’ during an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, where she noted that she identified with the role on a deeper level.
‘I can understand so much of her wanting to step outside of that, wanting to find her voice, wanting to break free of the role that she’s found herself now in and the condition that she found herself in,’ she said.

The performer also expressed that she initially did not expect to be involved in her husband’s project during its development stage.
‘I felt quite attached to her and the trajectory and the story very early on but did not know that I’d end up being involved in it in this way,’ she said.
Collins then remarked that working on the feature was ‘such a rare experience, and it was one that I did not think was a given that I’d get to be a part of in that way.’
