Lea’s outing comes just over a month after she debuted as Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, a role she has dreamed to play for years.

Her love of Funny Girl was even written in for her character in Glee, mirroring her own love for the production.

Her run has already had a small hiccup, testing positive for COVID-19 just four days after her debut, requiring her to isolate for 10 days before returning to the stage.

Her outing also comes just days after one of her Glee co-stars – Chris Colfer – threw some shade her way.

He was being interviewed on The Michelle Collins Show when he was asked if he’d join the host for a Funny Girl performance while he was in New York City.

‘Oh. My day suddenly just got so full,’ Colfer said, confirming later he wouldn’t see the show, adding, ‘No, I can be triggered at home.’
