AFL legend Barry Hall and former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant are celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary this week.
Lauren, 33, shared a sweet picture of herself with husband Barry, 46, holding up their marriage certificate on Instagram on Friday.
‘Two years, the most romantic elopement fueled by LOVE and LIFE. Words can’t describe. I love you Barry,’ her post read.
The couple secretly tied the knot in February 2021 so that her terminally ill sister-in-law Sandra could attend the wedding. Sandra was married to Lauren’s brother.
She tragically died just two weeks later, after her second battle with stage-four bowel cancer.

Sandra, who was 41, was able to be Lauren’s maid of honour during the ceremony – which happened just two weeks before her tragic death on March 4 following her second battle with stage four bowel cancer.
In heartbreaking scenes which aired, Lauren was seen speaking to Sandra in her hospital bed after it became clear she would not win her fight with the disease.
Lauren said: ‘Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed about getting married and there were three things I knew for certain – there would be me, my mum, and my sister as my maid of honour. So… will you be my maid of honour?’

Sandra, who was married to Lauren’s brother Tyron, excitedly replied: ‘Are you kidding me?’, before discovering the couple were set to elope within 24 hours with her by their side.
The show then cut to a clip of Barry proposing to his bride-to-be beside Sandra’s bed, where he said: ‘…instead of being partners in love, I think we should be husband and wife. Will you marry me?’
After a resounding yes, the family then headed off to the picturesque setting where Barry and Lauren legally tied the knot.

‘She was too weak to even walk, so [her husband Tyron Brant] had to carry her and stuff,’ Barry recalled in the interview through tears.
‘No matter what pain level she was in, she… it was pretty inspiring.’
Speaking about her surprise diagnosis in 2019, Lauren said: ‘We never thought it would happen to our family, we never thought it would happen to Sandra.
‘We never thought it would affect us to the stage of actually losing her and the thing is she could maybe be here with us if she detected it early enough.’
Sandra was officially declared cancer free in March 2020, but found out the devastating news that her cancer had returned just months later.
Barry and Lauren eloped within 24 hours of the engagement, in a simple sunflower field surrounded by their family
