Lara Worthington reveals her designer wedding dress for the first time almost a decade after her secret nuptials with husband Sam – as she stuns in a high-fashion shoot for Marie Claire
Model and beauty entrepreneur Lara Worthington (née Bingle) has lifted the lid on her secret wedding to actor Sam Worthington in 2014.
Speaking to this month’s Marie Claire Australia, the 35-year-old revealed she wore a white Louis Vuitton dress to her nuptials, which were held at a house in Melbourne.
She explained she posted a photo of her dress on Instagram at the time, but many fans didn’t put two and two together and work out it was actually her wedding dress.
Lara also told the publication she was seven months pregnant with her son Rocket Zot when she tied the knot, so found it hard to find a gown for the big day.
The mother of three wore a sleeveless white lace gown featuring lace detailing, which she ‘bought in London a couple of days before we were about to get married’.

‘It was lucky they had something to fit me because I was seven months pregnant with Rocket at the time. I still have the dress and would never part with it,’ she said.
Lara, who is now based in New York with her family, added that she ‘misses’ Australia, having grown up by the beach in Cronulla, Sydney.
She told Marie Claire she and Sam, 46, love to show their three sons, Rocket, seven, Racer, six, and River, two, around their home country on family trips Down Under.

‘The last time we were there as a family, we visited Steve Irwin’s [Australia] Zoo and really showed our kids around because they hadn’t been to Australia properly. Sam takes enjoyment out of that,’ she added.

She showed off a soft golden glow and opted to wear minimal makeup, including a nude lip and a touch of mascara.

Until now, the fiercely private Worthingtons have shared only a handful of small details about their intimate wedding.
Lara previously revealed only ten guests were invited, all of whom were family.
‘It was very intimate, we just popped in to Melbourne where Sam’s family is from. It was just our families, less than ten people,’ she said.
‘We wrote the whole celebration, we wrote all our vows. I was pregnant as well.’
She also prepared an ‘afternoon lunch’ for guests with the help of her mother Sharon.

He said there’s no right or wrong way to be a parent after Kyle admitted he ‘should have read a book or something’ before the birth of son Otto.
‘The books don’t tell you anything… It’s a hands-on experience and you learn as you go. That’s what me and Lara are doing,’ Sam said.
