LaKeith Stanfield says he’s engaged to Kasmere Trice amid claims from woman that he fathered child

LaKeith Stanfield revealed on Friday that he’s engaged to girlfriend Kasmere Trice, which led to public claims from artist Tylor Hurd that he had fathered a daughter with her.

The Atlanta actor, 31, and Trice took to social media with black-and-white images of their engagement ring to coincide with Trice’s birthday.

Trice captioned the shot on Twitter, ‘Yea.. i’m having the best birthday my baby made me mrs. Stanfield for my birthday!’ later adding on Instagram, ‘Happy birthday, mrs. Stanfield #priceyiceyWIFEY.’

The Oscar-nominated Judas and the Black Messiah star posted the images on Instagram writing, ‘Happy birthday to you baby;’ on Sunday, the pair took to social media with shots of their New Year’s Eve.’ 

Hurd subsequently took to social media posting images of herself with her child (as well as Stanfield) saying the Knives Out actor is the father of her child. (The posts were later deleted.)

In screengrabs captured by The Neighborhood Talk, Hurd said, ‘Decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022 … meet Apollo Stanfield.’

In a comment thread, the Uncut Gems actor said in response, ‘Thanks for respecting my not wanting to blast my child out to the internet. Very considerate of you.’

Hurd subsequently took to social media posting images of herself with her child (as well as Stanfield) saying the Knives Out actor is the father of her child

Hurd responded, ‘Value your privacy is why you lied to people saying she wasn’t your baby or that I was just a random? you value your privacy but your gf post everything y’all do lol okay.’

Stanfield said in response, ‘I never once in my life said she wasn’t my baby. I hope this does whatever it was supposed to do for you.’

Hurd subsequently said in a social media statement (captured by Page Six) in which she said that she was ‘not jealous’ that Stanfield is ‘engaged to a woman he’s known for 5 months.’

Said Hurd: ‘I tried to meet the girl and everything and she ignored me when i tried. what I’m upset about is that he made more time to spend with this woman than he’s spent with Apollo her whole life and has been actively ignoring me when I’m trying to figure things out for our child.

‘Those clips of him and her together are all I have in general cause he barely sees her.’

Trice on Monday retweeted a follower’s comment that read, ‘Kasmere really just minds her business and bothers no one. I can’t remember a single bad thing she’s done. People discussing her life choices is a wild thing to watch when you know the person.’

Stanfield and his ex Xosha Roquemore welcomed a child in 2017.
