Kyle Sandilands reveals the surprising celebrity guest who will be playing guitar at his wedding – after locking in Anthony Albanese as DJ

Kyle Sandilands has revealed NSW Labor leader Chris Minns will play guitar at his upcoming wedding to fiancée Tegan Kynaston.

He made the announcement on Tuesday, telling his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson he had booked in a celebrity who is not known for being a musician to perform at his star-studded nuptials on April 29.

Kyle said the guest was hiding in the studio with his electric guitar and would soon be coming out to play a riff, and invited Jackie to guess who it was.

After the mystery guest played the riff from AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long, Jackie took only a few clues to figure out it was Minns.

Once she had guessed correctly, the 43-year-old state Opposition leader came out of hiding and was interviewed by the KIIS FM hosts.

Minns said he had played guitar since he was 13, and told Kyle he would be happy to play Thunderstruck by AC/DC at his wedding.

Kyle said, ‘I’d enjoy that,’ and told Minns he had already booked Guy Sebastian and Samantha Jade to sing at his wedding, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to DJ.

Minns posted a photo to Instagram of himself playing his Gibson Les Paul at the KIIS FM studios in North Ryde, Sydney.

‘I didn’t expect to be playing AC/DC this morning on @kyleandjackieo – couldn’t resist taking Jackie’s Masked Singer judging to another level!,’ he wrote.

Kyle and his fiancée Tegan will be tying the knot on April 29.

The couple has invited 130 people to the wedding, including A-Listers such as singer Guy Sebastian and The X Factor’s Samantha Jade.

Last year, Kyle revealed he had booked the prime minister to DJ at the reception.

However, he revealed Tegan had rejected an offer from KIIS FM management to ‘live broadcast’ the ceremony because she wasn’t ‘down for it’.
