Kim Kardashian furiously hit out at Debra Messing during Thursday’s premiere episode of The Kardashians.
The reality star slammed the actress for trying to ‘tear people down’ after she tweeted her bemusement at Kim being chosen to host Saturday Night Live last year.
Addressing Debra’s tweet during the series’ opening episode, Kim said: ‘A girl from Will & Grace came out and said she has no idea why I would be chosen as a host, but it’s like, why do you care?’

Kim added: ‘I don’t comment to tear people down, especially another female. If that’s what you think, dude, then cool, tune in.’
In September Debra joined several stars tweeting her bemusement that Kim was chosen to present SNL over other traditional performers.
She wrote: ‘Why Kim Kardashian?’ I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV Show, or album launch. Am I missing something?’

Sorry! The Will And Grace star later apologised after watching Kim’s appearance on the NBC show, saying she did an ‘amazing job’
But after watching Kim’s presenting stint the following month, Debra publicly apologised, insisting she wasn’t trying to ‘troll’ the star.
Speaking on the Tamron Hall show, Debra said: ‘That was never my intention. She is this phenomenon. I mean, you know, she is a cultural icon.
‘And I noticed that they changed the formula, and I was like, “Oh, does she have a new TV show coming out? Does she have a book coming out? Is she in a movie?” And she didn’t have anything coming out,’ the performer added.

Messing also admitted she has ‘living under a rock’ and no longer has a ‘finger on the pulse of pop culture’ because she’s so ‘focused on activism.’
Still, she made sure to tune in to watch Kardashian, who she said ‘was amazing.’
‘If you know me, and you follow me, then you know that I consistently lift up women. I support women. So you know, I hope that people understand that was never my intention,’ the seven-time Golden Globe nominee concluded.
Kim’s SNL stint was met with a positive reception from viewers, with many lauding the star for her cutting opening monologue, in which she called her mom Kris Jenner’s boyfriend a ‘gold digger’ and said she was a ‘reference photo’ her sisters show their plastic surgeons.

The Kardashians made its debut at midnight on Thursday, and fans were already excited to see the Kardashian–Jenner clan back on TV after wrapping up Keeping Up With The Kardashians last year.
Early social reaction to the series from fans appeared to be largely positive, with several complimenting its storylines and its higher production values.
Multiple viewers also noted the seemingly cyclical nature of the reality series, as Kim Kardashian and her family were once again dealing with the fallout of a potential sex tape in the premiere episode, just as they did on KUWTK back in 2007.
The premiere episode details Kourtney’s burgeoning relationship with Travis Barker, but her ex Scott Disick also appeared to discuss his feelings about seeing her get serious with another man.
