Australian independent fashion label The Wolf Gang shoots to overnight success after Kendall Jenner sported their must-have jumper: ‘It’s surreal’

An independent Australian brand has gone global after Kendall Jenner gave it her seal of approval.

The US supermodel, 27, sported a $329 jumper from Adelaide clothing brand The Wolf Gang in an advert for her tequila brand 818.

The brand posted a message to Instagram to mark Kendall’s 27th birthday where she wore the jumper, which the company’s co-director has described as ‘surreal’, according to Adelaide Now.

While it came as surprised to the budding Aussie business, it’s not completely coincidental as the co-director’s partner is the director of a marketing agency that worked on an advert with 818.

Sam Pearce – the co-director of Adelaide Advertising agency Frame Creative – is married to The Wolf Gang’s creative director Vanessa Pearce.

‘818’s shoot director told Kendall to bring something cosy to wear which they would then style, and she organically picked our jumper,’ Mrs Pearce told Adelaide Now.

‘It’s absolutely surreal, for her to love the piece is so special.’

The champagne jumper, with oversized black swirls, is described by the brand as the ‘cult sweater’ that ‘goes with everything’.
