Kate Ritchie dressed to impress as she attended the Married At First Sight Reunion event in Sydney on Thursday.

The former Home and Away actress, 44, cut an elegant figure in a striped black and white suit jacket and matching pants.

Kate completed her stylish look with a pair of strappy black heels and held a Chanel handbag as she arrived at The Grounds of Alexandria.

She tied her locks into a high bun and wore a full face of makeup consisting of blush and eyeliner.

Kate was forced to run inside the venue for cover under an umbrella as wind and rain battered the city.

The sighting comes after Kate started her new job on air with Nova FM’s Fitzy and Wippa radio show.

Nova confirmed in a statement that Ritchie would be joining Fitzgerald and Wipfli on their Sydney breakfast show from March 13.

‘I am so excited to be joining Fitzy and Wippa in the very competitive breakfast slot,’ Ritchie said.

‘I’m a huge fan of the show and I’ve been great mates with the boys for years. The past eight years on drive has been an important part of my life but I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge by returning to breakfast radio in my hometown.

‘I can’t wait to wake up Sydneysiders beside two of the industry’s much-loved breakfast announcers.’

Fitzgerald and Wipfli added: ‘We’ve been annoying Kate around the office for over ten years; now we get to do it every morning.

‘We are excited for our audience to hear how funny Kate thinks we are. Nova listeners have always loved Kate and now she’ll be served up every weekday. Please enjoy your breakfast.’

Loyal listeners of Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa are tuning out after the Sydney breakfast show bumped long-serving co-host McGilvray to make way for Ritchie.

McGilvray’s sudden exit and the introduction of Ritchie, formerly of Nova’s national drive show, has led to fans complaining about the move on social media.

After the program posted a photo on Facebook of Ritchie with co-anchors Fitzy and Wippa, listeners flocked to the comments section to express dissatisfaction with the new line-up.

One fan said the trio sounded ‘awkward’ and described the former Home and Away star as ‘no match for Sarah’.

One listener said they simply would not ‘bother’ with the new team having heard Ritchie’s work on the Nova drive program.
