Kate Langbroek reveals she was not shocked that Carrie Bickmore quit The Project as she was juggling ‘three full time jobs’

Kate Langbroek has revealed how she feels about the departure of her co-star, Carrie Bickmore, from The Project. 

The 57-year-old tells Stellar Magazine that she was not surprised that Carrie, 41, quit, as she had such a heavy workload.   

In addition to appearing on The Project, Carrie hosts the Carrie & Tommy radio show on the Hit Network and runs her Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation.

‘Let’s not forget, as Pete Helliar said, she’s retiring to a full-time radio job’ Kate told the publication. 

‘Because she’s got such a tremendous work ethic, she’s basically been working two full-time jobs’ the media personality explained. 

‘Three, if you count her family and her foundation commitments.’

The star went on to say that she gave Carrie advice on what it’s like to walk away from a full time job – Kate famously left her radio show to live in Italy with her family on an extensive sabbatical. 

‘Of course I offered some because I always offer advice. I just told her a bit about what I learnt in that process and what was initially an epiphany for me’ she said. 

Carrie announced her departure from The Project after 12 years on air last month.

She will leave will leave Channel 10 altogether after she finishes up this month, making her next career move unclear. 

The radio star had been scrambling to get episodes recorded ‘at Ten’s studios in South Yarra amid preparing for The Project, or in a granny flat out the back’ of her home The Herald Sun reported.  

The publication pointed out that the television personality has struggled filming the drive time show while balancing her other gig.
