Earlier that day, Kate revealed she is still yet to begin planning her wedding to her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, over a year after they got engaged.

The actress confessed that she’s ‘going back and forth’ between whether or not she wants to plan a lavish celebration, before joking it’s ‘not really a golden ticket’ due to her large family.

Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of This Morning, Kate also spoke about her role in the upcoming Knives Out sequel Glass Onion, reflecting on the moment she had to don a bikini for one particular scene in the Netflix film.

During the interview, Kate was asked about whether she’d started planning her wedding to Danny.

But the star confessed: ‘It’s been a while now, I just haven’t planned the wedding. I don’t even know where I am right now – I’m kidding.

‘I go back and forth, I go ”do I really want a big wedding?” We’re so happy – it’s not the first thing I need.

‘I’ve been there before. I’ve got kids with three different dads. It’s not really the golden ticket, a wedding. And we also don’t know where we’re gonna do it. But it will happen.’

‘We were really locked down together because of Covid. It was right at the peak of Delta so we couldn’t go anywhere.

‘We’d rent out a bar, do murder mysteries and then have parties. That’s how we kept entertained.’

Kate, who plays the former supermodel turned fashion designer Birdie Jay, had to don a bikini for one scene in the film, and she confessed that it was a far-from glamorous affair on set.

It comes after Kate offered up her thoughts on the ongoing ‘nepo babies’ controversy that began with a New York Magazine piece last week, saying that family members working in the same businesses are common, and that talent shines through no matter where it’s found.

The Los Angeles native – who is the daughter of Hollywood stalwart Goldie Hawn, 77, and singer Bill Hudson, 73 – was asked about the ongoing discussion in an interview with The Independent.

‘I don’t care where you come from, or what your relationship to the business is – if you work hard and you kill it, it doesn’t matter,’ the Oscar-nominated actress told the outlet

She said of the topic, ‘The nepotism thing, I mean… I don’t really care. I look at my kids and we’re a storytelling family. It’s definitely in our blood. People can call it whatever they want, but it’s not going to change it.’
