She went through a painful split with her partner of eight years, David Panton, earlier this year.

But Julie Bishop showed no signs of heartbreak as she attended the 2022 NGV Gala in Melbourne on Saturday with her rumoured new boyfriend Luke Hepworth.

The former foreign minister looked glamorous in a long black dress as she wrapped her arms around the handsome ‘adventure philanthropist’.

The glamorous ex-politician showed off her incredible figure in the frock, which had a slit along the front and puff sleeves.

Julie accessorised her look with a pair of black stilettos embellished with a rhinestone bauble at the front, and a matching clutch.

Meanwhile, Luke looked dapper in a black tuxedo, a black buttoned shirt and patent dress shoes.

Luke is a keen adventurer and sportsman, while Julie is also a fitness enthusiast so the pairing is a matched made in heaven.

Julie and Luke have attended several high-profile soirees recently, including an event hosted by Moët & Chandon earlier this month and the Perth Telethon, but Luke has denied the pair are an item – insisting they’re just friends.

However, he fuelled speculation after posting a series of photos on Instagram of the duo attending various events together in Sydney and Perth.

Meanwhile, Luke looked dapper in a black tuxedo, a black buttoned shirt and patent dress shoes  

‘We are working on a charity project for the Children’s Cancer Institute. We are definitely not dating, mate,’ Hepworth told The Daily Telegraph.

‘I am not in a relationship,’ he added.

‘She is just a good friend of mine and a wonderful human, so we have been to a couple of charity events.’

But Hepworth did confirm he’s known Bishop for several years after they first met at the ritzy Gold Dinner charity gala.
