‘I’m definitely not a baker!’ Loose Women star Judi Love reveals she hasn’t made a cake in five years ahead of her appearance on Celebrity Bake Off
Judi Love revealed she hasn’t made a cake in five years and ‘isn’t a baker’ ahead of her appearance on Celebrity Bake Off on Sunday.
The Loose Women star, 42, will appear alongside Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden, comedian Mike Wozniak and presenter Jay Blades in the episode for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
But Judi has revealed she is not the world’s most talented in the kitchen as she prepares for her stint on the Channel 4 baking show.
She told the Daily Star: ‘I’ve made the odd sponge cake. The last time I baked one was about five years ago. I’m definitely not a baker.’
She added: ‘I am definitely competitive, but more so against myself.’

Hard task: The Loose Women panelist, 42, said she has a long history of baking failures
The comedian went on to list her history of baking failures, including steamed dumplings and bread.
She continued by saying that the technical challenge will be where her ‘weakness lies’ and said ‘pfft’ at the thought of following a strict recipe.
The Bake Off is not Judi’s first venture into competitive TV, as she most recently starred in series 13 of Taskmaster and competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
It comes after Judi opened up about the Loose Women stars’ friendships as she hit back at feud rumours on Saturday.
The hosts have been hit by claims of a ‘feud’ after having heated debates on the show.
However, Judi hit back at claims of a row as she insisted they are a ‘sisterhood’ and are all very ‘supportive’ of one another both on and off the ITV panel programme.
Appearing on Saturday Kitchen, Judi said they’ve learnt it is ‘OK’ to have different opinions – addressing the fact that they are known for clashing over topics.
When asked by host Matt Tebbutt to talk about Loose Women, Judi joked: ‘What do you want? The juice.’

To which chef Matt, 49, hinted at the feud claims as he asked: ‘Did you all fall out?’
But Judi denied any claims of a falling out between the group as she insisted they are all very supportive and are always there to help one another both on and off screen.
She said: ‘No no, we’re absolutely lovely. Look I’m working with 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, acting – they are forces to be reckoned with.
‘I find that anything I need advice in, anything – I’m talking buying houses, all kind of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they’ve got some understanding and can educate me on things.
‘I think it’s great. They’ve added to it, and now they’ve got a comedian in the pool, I love it, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls, get your make-up on.
‘There’s a real sisterhood between us and I love it. I love that we can explore different topics and have our own opinions and that’s OK.
‘And even outside of Loose, how supportive we are of each other in different areas of our life, and that’s really important and says a lot about Loose Women itself.’
Matt then asked Judi if she feels like she can spontaneously call any of her co-stars, to which Judi said yes and gushed over her relationships with Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, Charlene White and Brenda Edwards in particular.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off continues on Sunday at 7.40pm on Channel 4.
