JoJo Siwa rocks pink sweatpants as she steps out in LA for first time since apparently blasting Nickelodeon’s reaction to her coming out on TikTok

JoJo Siwa adopted a casual look as she went on a grocery run Friday in Los Angeles.

The J Team star strolled through the parking lot in black sneakers with a rainbow toned stripes.

She appeared makeup free and styled her blonde hair in one of her trademark high pony tails.

This was the first time the Blurt star was spotted in public after lip syncing to Meghan Trainor’s Mother on TikTok Wednesday in a video explaining her experience with her boss after coming out as gay a little more than two years ago, which many of her fans interpreted as being about Nickelodeon.

‘Story time: January 2021, I come out to the world. The company I work for told me they needed to have a meeting w/ me ASAP,’ Siwa wrote. ‘During this meeting, the PRESIDENT of the company negatively asked me “What are you gonna tell your young demographic?”‘

JoJo did not name the company, though fans were quick to suggest it was Nickelodeon, where she had been working for several years since leaving Dance Moms.

‘I took a second to process what I was just asked, and then… I replied… “THE TRUTH.”‘

‘I’ve never seen a man roll his eyes so far in the back of his head. It was silent so I started talking again… I said “I’m not gonna hide who I am and who I love to anyone, ESPECIALLY to the next generation.” He didn’t like that very much.’

‘However, since I came out SO many adults say to me, “I wish I had someone like you when I was younger.” Which reminds me every time that I did the right thing and to never let ANYONE change who you are.’

She added a caption below which read, ‘if that meeting was today I would literally just press play on this song.’

A Nickelodeon spokesperson told Dailymail.com when asked for comment, ‘We are unaware of what incident or meeting JoJo is referencing, but it certainly did not happen at Nickelodeon.

JoJo and Nickelodeon seem to have mended any rifts that may have occurred.

The media company recently announced a Pride capsule collaboration with the Boomerang singer, which will come out in May.

A portion of the proceeds will go to GLSEN, an organization that ‘works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment’ for graded K-12, according to their website.
