Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming daytime talk show on Fox TV has gotten a release date on September 12, the day she turns 41.

‘I can’t believe I get to say this, but welcome to my show !!!’ she tweeted. ‘Let’s light up daytime beginning September 12th! Wait a minute that’s my birthday!!!’

News of the release date was broken by Variety, which noted that the show will be in syndication and thereby accessible to 95 per cent of the United States.

Jennifer will film her show in the same studio where The Ellen DeGeneres Show was taped before airing its finale last month.

She reached the milestone Sunday night when she earned a Tony as a producer of the best musical winner A Strange Loop.

On Wednesday Jennifer shared footage of herself celebrating her Tony win, possibly backstage at Radio City Music Hall, where the awards were given.

Jennifer was leading a toast in a private room after her triumph, barefoot but still wearing the crystal-studded Pamela Roland frock she modeled onstage. 

‘As I said when I won the Oscar, look what God can do,’ said Jennifer, holding up her glass. ‘Well, He did it again!’

She won the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, whose cast included Beyonce and Jamie Foxx.

Based on a Broadway show from the 1980s, the movie featured Jennifer in the role of Effie Brown, a singer loosely based on Florence Ballard from the Supremes.

Two years after her Oscar, she collected a Grammy Award for best R&B album for her debut studio release Jennifer Hudson.

Last year she won an Emmy for outstanding interactive media for a daytime program as an executive producer on the animated film Baba Yaga.

She now joins an illustrious array of EGOT winners including Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Rita Moreno and Richard Rodgers.

Jennifer first rose into the public eye when she finished seventh on the third season of American Idol, which aired in 2004.
