Hudson, 41, showed off her hourglass curves in a chic LBD with rhinestone beading along the collar.

She added black high heels to the look, and her lips were painted a rich, dark red. The If This Isn’t Love star flashed a brilliant white smile as she posed for shutterbugs ahead of the ceremony.
She was joined at the event by the creator of the awards ceremony, Byron Allen, who donned a classic tuxedo on the red carpet.
Latifah, 52, turned heads as she arrived in a billowing marigold gown with voluminous ruffles.
The unique floor-length number had a shirt-style bodice while the skirt was ruffled similarly to the large flower-like ruffling that was protruding from the dress’ waistline.

She stood in loose-fitting slacks and donned black high heels. The 58-year-old’s short black hair was cut into a stylish bob.
Kim Coles of In Living Color fame wore a chic purple dress which clung tightly to her curves. Her dark brown hair was tinged with purple and red in the curls at the bottom.
The 60-year-old accessorized with a number of bracelets on each wrist as well as big, looping earrings.

The 36-year-old Olympian parted her short hair in the middle, and it touched the top of her back.
The Jeffersons actress Maria Gibbs, 91, wore a black blazer underneath a darker black shawl. She added black sandals to the outfit.
She accessorized with white earrings, and her short black hair was swept off to the right.
Gibbs’ 227 co-star, Jackée Harry, stunned in a low-cut top with big fur wrapped around her shoulders. She addd a dark blue skirt to the look.

The 78-year-old dyed her hair a vibrant blonde, and it was swept off to the left in the front.
The Grio Awards is a new ceremony put on by The Grio, an ‘African American-focused news, lifestyle, sports and entertainment platform’ according to Variety.
A number of the attendees received achievement awards at the event including LaBelle (the Music Icon Award), Hudson (Trailblazer Icon Award), Latifah (Television Icon Award) and Felix (Sports Icon Award).
Tyler Perry, Dave Chappelle and Kenan Thompson, among many other well-known members of the Black community were honored as well.
