Jay-Z brings daughter Blue Ivy to Super Bowl as A-list stars including Bradley Cooper also attend

Jay-Z enjoyed some quality time with his 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter as they attended the Super Bowl LVII together at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.

As the father-daughter duo arrived to the most-watched annual sporting events in the world, the 53-year-old rapper smiled as he walked onto the field with one arm wrapped lovingly around his eldest child.

The 24-time Grammy winner, who is married to Beyoncé, opted to rep his entertainment agency Roc Nation, which he founded back in 2008, on his black hoodie while Blue Ivy donned a backwards baseball cap and black shades.

The Hip Hop mogul completed his cool look with a pair of dark pants and matching sunglasses as his little girl donned an oversized Tupac graphic and zip-up hoodie as well as a gold chain. 

Previously, the pair, who regularly attend NBA games and various other sporting events together, attended the Super Bowl last year, 2021 and 2020.

The pair were among the many A-list stars that flew Glendale, Arizona to watch the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, including Adele, who smiled in her seat while rocking a structured grey blazer, hoop earrings and oversized sunglasses. 

Die-heart Eagles fan Bradley Cooper looked completely enthralled during the game as he enjoyed some nachos in a private suite. 

As he prepared to watch his favorite football team vie for their second ever Super Bowl wins, the 48-year-old actor proudly sported a green t-shirt with the Philadelphia Eagles’ logo across his chest. 

Meanwhile, Paul Rudd was spotted at the game, who is a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs supporter, made his support clear for the rival team while rocking a white jersey with red and white stripes on the sleeves.

In addition to the game, Rihanna will make her highly anticipated return to live performance at the halftime show following a music hiatus (she has not released a solo album since January 2016.)

While the details of the annual halftime show are as closely guarded as the teams’ playbooks, Rihanna indicated that she would incorporate elements of her Caribbean culture in the performance.

‘That’s a big part of why this is important for me to do this show: representation, representing for immigrants, representing for my country, Barbados, representing for Black women everywhere,’ she said.

It will take a crew of 300 to 400 workers to assemble the stage in eight minutes and break it down just as quickly – a feat of ingenuity requiring military-like precision for the 13-minute halftime concert.

‘It’s incredible – it’s almost impossible,’ said Rihanna, who told a crowd of reporters on Thursday that she had not slept the night before when an on-site rehearsal ran long.

‘I’ve been so focused on the Super Bowl I totally forgot that my birthday is coming up (on Feb. 20),’ the singer added. ‘I totally forgot about Valentine’s Day. I’m just like, Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Super Bowl.’

She was inspired to take on the challenge after giving birth to her son. 

‘When you become a mom there’s something that just happens (and) you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything,’ she told reporters in Phoenix on Thursday. 

‘So as scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. And it’s important for me to do this, this year. It’s important for representation, it’s important for my son to see that.’

Rihanna joins a list of celebrated entertainers who have played during Super Bowl halftime shows, including Beyoncé, Madonna, Coldplay, Katy Perry, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and The Weeknd. Last year, hip hop was celebrated with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar all performing.
