Jay Leno sports an all-denim look as he enjoys a drive in one of his classic cars… following the cancellation of his show Jay Leno’s Garage

Jay Leno appeared to be recovering nicely just months after a fiery accident that left him with severe burns.

The former Jay Leno’s Garage host, 72, was spotted out in his trademark denim shirt and jeans Friday as he arrived at his garage in Burbank, California to take one of his many antique cars out for a spin just weeks after his show was cancelled

The former Tonight Show host looked in good spirits as he sat behind the wheel of a green sedan.

The comedian suffered burns on his face, chest and hands after gasoline from a vehicle he was working on caught fire.

After being treated for the burns following the November 12 accident, doctors the at Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles predicted he would make a full recovery.

‘The fuel line was clogged so I was underneath it. It sounded clogged and I said, ‘Blow some air through the line,’ and so he did,’ Leno, told Today’s Hoda Kotb as he described the incident in December.

‘And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light jumped and my face caught on fire.’

The resilient star was also injured in January in a motorcycle crash.

He suffered a broken collarbone, two broken ribs and two cracked kneecaps.

In an interview with the Las Vegas Journal-Review, Jay, who was riding a 1940 Indian motorcycle said he began to smell gas.

‘So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it,’ Leno said.

‘So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.’

The joke teller didn’t let the injuries keep him down and performed the same night.

The You Bet Your Life host was set to begin a series of comedy dates across much of the US beginning February 24.

Jay has made a few adjustments to his comedy since leaving the Tonight Show in 2014, removing politics from his show, even though he poked fun at both Democrats and Republicans.

‘Nowadays, people are mad if you don’t say how you feel,’ he said. ‘I’ve just taken politics out of the act, altogether. I just don’t discuss anymore. It’s like before the punch line, they’re deciding, ‘Is he pro-my guy, or against my guy?’
