A mother-of-three charged with two counts of murder after allegedly chopping off her boyfriend’s penis and stabbing his mate suffered a ‘breakdown’ last year.

Jasmine Eveleigh, 44, had been seeking treatment for an array of mental health issues culminating in a ‘severe breakdown’ in June 2021.

The mother-of-four remains behind bars accused of murdering her boyfriend Samir Esbeck, 59, and Sarkis Abboud, 61, at a Brunswick apartment in Melbourne at 5.20am on May 5th.

It’s understood Eveleigh had been in a relationship with Mr Esbeck for 10 years before she allegedly turned on him in a frenzied knife attack.

Eveleigh’s primary Facebook account features posts about her children. She is understood to have made a second page as recently as March this year.

The doting mother proudly boasted about her eldest son’s kindness and strength in the face of adversity and shared sweet snaps with her youngest three.

‘I am truly blessed to be the mum of such a kind, remarkable, true gentleman,’ Eveleigh said.

She often shared sweet tributes to motherhood and family, including one which read: ‘I’m not perfect at everything, but I do make some adorable babies.’

‘I never intended to hurt those around me when I was hurting. I was at war with myself and sadly many I loved become casualties. I never intended to damage anyone while I was broken,’ a separate post read.

Several friends have since reached out to Eveleigh after CCTV footage which allegedly shows her wandering the streets of Melbourne in a bra with blood on her feet surfaced.

The footage captured Eveleigh walking down the street wearing just a bra with her shirt wrapped around her left hand moments after the alleged attack.

She is seen running across numerous streets and down dark alleys in shoes that were allegedly covered in blood.

Police alleged the woman left behind a 1.5km trail of blood with blood droplets found along several roads and a children’s playground.

Meanwhile, the daughter of alleged victim Sarkis Abboud is still trying to process her father’s tragic and gruesome end.

Christine Abboud, 21, said she wishes every day that it ‘could have been her’ and not her ‘bubbly, giant teddy bear’ father who died.

‘The news is true,’ she said. ‘My father was taken from us, [allegedly] in the most horrible way.’

‘No one deserves this kind of pain… My heart feels empty knowing I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.’

Mr Abboud died on his way to hospital. His friend and Eveleigh’s partner Mr Esbeck, died on the sidewalk after his penis was allegedly chopped off.

Police have not yet publicly revealed how Eveleigh and Mr Abboud knew one another.

Just before the morning commute kicked off, the 44-year-old was arrested on a tram in Carlton, near where the alleged assault took place.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries but has since been released.

Eveleigh will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court for two counts of murder on August 29.
