Dave Coulier reveals his Full House co-star Lori Loughlin was the ‘last’ person from the show he’d ever expect to go to jail

Thirty-five years after their beloved series Full House hit the airwaves, Dave Coulier is opening up about his co-star Lori Loughlin’s legal troubles.

The 57-year-old actress was among the most notable people arrested in the widespread college admissions scandal in 2019, along with her husband Mossimo Giannulli. 

Her 62-year-old co-star opened up about Loughlin in a new interview with E!, in which he admitted Loughlin was the ‘last’ person from the series he expected to go to jail.

‘If you would have said at the beginning of Full House, who’s the one person who’s going to end up going to jail, Lori was last on the list,’ Coulier admitted.

‘Lori is my best girlfriend in life. We make each other laugh really hard, through the tough times and the fun times,’ he added.

Coulier acknowledged that, ‘everyone has their opinion’ on the highly-publicized incident, he maintains Loughlin is ‘a wonderful human being.’

‘There’s a lot of untold story underneath that I don’t think a lot of people know. We all make mistakes,’ Coulier said.

Loughlin and Giannulli were among the 50 individuals charged with fraud and bribery, with the couple paying a reported $500,000 to the Key Worldwide Foundation, to help their daughter, Olivia Jade, get into USC.

She ultimately plead guilty and spent two months in prison, while her husband Giannulli spent five months in prison.

She was also ordered to pay a $150,000 fine and ordered to serve 100 hours of community service.

Coulier admitted that, after the surprising passing of their co-star Bob Saget in January, he has become closer to his Full House family.

‘We realize how precious life is and how quickly this clock is ticking,’ he said, adding it was ‘wonderful’ to reconnect with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at Saget’s memorial.

‘It was as if no time had passed. They were so sweet and loving,’ he said of the Olsen twins, who didn’t appear in the Fuller House revival series.

‘Even though there was great sorrow, there was great joy with being able to connect the dots over the years and not miss a beat as far as our friendships and the love for each other,’ he added.

Full House ran from 1987 to 1995 on ABC, with Netflix reviving the show with Fuller House, which ran five more seasons from 2016 to 2020.
