But as the bride walked up to the podium, Jane began to wipe away a tear from her cheek, explaining: ‘I’m off already, I am useless. I never go to weddings because I am always crying.’

The sweet couple then said their ‘I do’s’ in the beach ceremony, as Jane watched nearby.

Opening up about her own Caribbean wedding to Henrik Brixen in 1998, Jane said: I am a bit of a romantic and nosy because I got married in the Caribbean

‘The wedding was lovely, did not work out,’ she jested, referring to the pair’s divorce four years later.

The star travelled to the Caribbean just a year after losing her fiancé Eddie Rothe to cancer, previously admitting that seeing couples abroad is ‘hard’.

The show sees Jane island hopping as a solo traveller around Barbados, St Lucia, Grenada and Antigua as she soaks up the sun – previously admitting that she has chosen these destinations because they’re good for singles.

Jane lost her fiancé Eddie in March last year to lung cancer, and admitted on her new show: ‘ A lot of you know that my life has changed now, I’m single, and I chose this place because I didn’t want to be on a romantic island, on my own, looking at couples everywhere.’

Eddie, who was the drummer for 60s band The Searchers, proposed to Jane on Christmas Eve of 2008, after becoming an item earlier that year.

The pair were together briefly years before, splitting in 2002 before rekindling the romance six years later – but never got the chance to tie the knot before his tragic passing.
