Sharon Osbourne, 70, ‘is rushed to hospital after suffering a medical emergency while filming new TV show in California’

Sharon Osbourne has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering a medical emergency while filming a new TV show.

The TV star, 70, had been busy shooting a paranormal TV show in California near the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula when she fell ill suddenly, according to TMZ.   

Doctors were called out to the Tavern at around 6.30pm over a ‘medical call’, a Ventura County Department rep reportedly told the publication.

Scary: Sharon Osbourne has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency while filming a new TV show.

They subsequently transported a patient to Santa Paula Hospital. Sharon was confirmed to be the patient to TMZ by Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar.

Sharon’s representatives have been contacted by MailOnline for more information.  

Her current medical condition is unknown and it is not clear what was the cause of the sudden ill health. 

Sharon has never previously spoken about any major health concerns.

She was last pictured on December 6 as she met up with son Jack, his fiancée Aree Gearhart and their daughter Maple in Los Angeles where she looked well.

But in May 2022 Sharon revealed she caught Covid from her husband Ozzy after she was forced to fly back to Los Angeles to look after him.

The TV personality broke down in tears after confirming she was flying back to the United States from London to help her singer husband, 73.

Speaking on her TalkTV show The Talk from LA, Sharon told her co-star Jeremy Kyle that Ozzy was fine but she and daughter Kelly have sadly been struck down with the virus.

She said: ‘He’s doing much better thank you. His temperature is now back to normal his coughing has stopped, he’s doing much better.

‘But I’ve got some news to share. My daughter Kelly has it, I have it and the entire household has it now.’

Sharon was previously said to be ‘beside herself with worry’ after Ozzy contracted Covid-19.

It was claimed Sharon was concerned about Ozzy as he became ‘paranoid’ about getting Covid after enduring a string of health problems in recent years.

The former Black Sabbath star, who has Parkinson’s disease, was said to have been cleaning takeaway deliveries with anti-bacterial spray in a bid to prevent himself from catching Covid.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Ozzy was badly paranoid about getting Covid because of everything that he has been through. Now he’s got it, he’s panicked and feeling awful. 

‘He heard about Covid spreading on surfaces and got so paranoid that he got all takeaway deliveries coming into the house sprayed outside with anti-bacterial treatments.’
