A heartbreaking new video has emerged showing country singer Jake Flint serenading his new bride just hours before he died in his sleep at the age of 37 on Saturday night.
Flint passed away following his wedding in the some town of Owasso, Oklahoma – 15 miles outside of Tulsa. His cause of death has not been made public.
His death was confirmed by his wife, Brenda, in a series of heart wrenching Facebook posts.
DailyMail.com has also obtained exclusive photos of the wedding reception, showing Flint and Brenda, wearing a denim jump suit with a floral pattern on the side, smiling from ear-to-ear with their guests.
In the new video, Flint can be seen strumming an unknown ballad while his wife literally swoons alongside him, singing along with some of the lyrics.
The clip ends with Flint singing: ‘Boy, I found me a keeper, the day I made her my wife.’
The video was posted by another Oklahoma-based musician, Mike Hosty, who wrote in the caption: ‘He grabbed a guitar and sang a song to his bride in the barn.’
The same video was also posted by Flint’s mother, Teresa, who wrote of her late son: ‘Through the tears, my son makes us all smile. His antics onstage were always entertaining and his jokes always corny.’

As his wife swoons, Flint is beaming as he belts out the song in front of his enthusiastic wedding guests. Flint’s friend, Mike Hosty, a musician who performed at the wedding, wrote on Facebook: ‘He grabbed a guitar and sang a song to his bride in the barn’
Flint’s family said in a public statement on Wednesday: ‘Our hearts are broken over this tragic loss. Jacob was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and partner to his wife, Brenda. He valued his family, friendships and living life to the fullest, which was evident in his songwriting. Every person who knew him has a story of his wit, charm, talent, and compassion.’
The statement continued: ‘We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and the many beautiful tributes that have been shared about the impact Jacob had on many lives. While we grieve what we know could have been, we’re grateful that his talent and love live on in his songs.’
His family also said that the singer’s funeral will be held at Cedar Point Church in Claremore, Oklahoma, on December 5th.
In lieu of flowers, mourners are asked to donate to the Red Dirt Relief Fund, an Oklahoma-based charity that helps musicians in times of need.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help Flint’s widow in her time of need. At the time of writing the page has raised nearly $10,000.

Flint’s longtime publicist Clif Doyal shut down a social media rumor that Flint’s cause of death was as a result of side-effects from receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
Doyal said in a press release: ‘I can verify from them, and from my own personal knowledge, that Jake Flint’s sudden and tragic death was not related in any way to the Covid-19 vaccine. Pending an official autopsy report there will be no further comment.’
According to Politifact, the cause of death rumor began in a November 29 Instagram post. The post showed Flint alongside his vaccination certificate. It read: ‘Jake Flint, a country singer, died this weekend on his wedding night. He was 37 years old. There will be a lot more, I’m afraid. SO happy I’m pure blooded!!’
The article points out the Covid-19 vaccine has been incorrectly linked to the deaths of celebrities including Betty White and Bob Saget.
While the singer’s cause of death has not been confirmed, earlier in 2022, Flint was forced to cancel a series of concerts due to health reasons.
Doyal was among the first to speak publicly about Flint’s death, in an interview with the Oklahoman.
‘He was not only a client, he was a dear friend and just a super nice guy. As you can see from the outpouring on social media, he was loved by everybody. I think a lot of it was just that he was a people person, and he had an amazing sense of humor. He made everybody laugh, and he made everybody feel welcome,’ Doyal said.
‘He was an ambassador for Oklahoma Red Dirt music.’

On Tuesday, the heartsick bride wrote: ‘We should be going through wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in. People aren’t meant to feel this much pain,’ Brenda said. ‘My heart is gone and I just really need him to come back. I can’t take much more. I need him here’

Jake’s manager Brenda Cline was overcome with grief and shock as she delivered the heartbreaking news on Sunday night in a social media post
In a recent Facebook post, Brenda wrote: ‘We should be going through wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in.’
She added: ‘People aren’t meant to feel this much pain. My heart is gone and I just really need him to come back. I can’t take much more. I need him here.’ The couple became engaged on Brenda’s birthday, January 15.
Though it rained on their wedding day, the weather did not dampen the excited couple’s spirits who said their ‘I do’s’ in front of all their friends and family.
Mike Hosty told the Oklahoman: ‘It was rainy, but he’d rented a 40-by-60 circus tent… They put up a bunch of carpets over the mud and then got two pieces of three-and-a-quarter-inch plywood and set it on the ground — and that was my stage. Jake goes, ‘Is that gonna be all right for you?’ And I go, ‘Jake, that’s perfect.’ A piece of plywood or a flatbed trailer is where I shine.’
He added: ‘I still have the mud in my old van… but it was just a fun wedding. And it’s just a tragedy what happened.’
Earlier Flint’s manager, Brenda Cline, wrote on Facebook: ‘With a broken heart and in deep grief I must announce that Jake Flint has tragically passed away. I’ve tried several times today to make a post, but you can’t comment on what you can’t process.’
The shock and grief were apparent in the Oklahoma music community Monday as word spread of Flint’s sudden and untimely death
Flint was a Red Dirt singer/songwriter, was from the rural Mounds, Oklahoma.
Born in 1985, Flint was raised in the oilfield boom town of Holdenville in south eastern Oklahoma, the son of a wildcat oilman. He also grew up with his ‘hard-working mom’ according to his biography, and a single sibling.
According to his bio, he was transplanted to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Jake says he was always the ‘outcast country kid in the city.’
Flint got his love of music from his father, who raised him on John Denver, James Taylor and Dire Straits, as well as local singers, his website added.
The country singer also developed a love of grunge during the 1990s after becoming close to his sister’s rocker friends.
Flint’s first introduction to playing music was a result of his father having been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease and was not able to physically provide interaction to his son.
Concerned about not being able to participate with Flint in sports, his father commissioned a couple of his lifelong best friends to teach Jake to play guitar and take him to regional bluegrass festivals.
Sadly, Flint’s dad later succumbed to his illness, with that tragedy inspiring the singer’s music.
Just prior to his wedding, Flint set a up a GoFundMe page in an attempt to raise money, in lieu of wedding gifts, for a wooden sign to be placed in tribute to his father along historic Route 66.
