With history being her number one passion in life, this woman has been taking fashion tips and practicing beauty routines from over 100 years ago.
Her favourite eras include the 1940s and Edwardian times, where she will take fashion and beauty tips that she’ll use on a daily basis as a part of her morning routines.
Jude Kershaw, 21, a historical impersonator, from Leeds, has been in love with vintage styles since she was 13 and found her 1940s look in her late teen years which her family have always supported but always questioned why.
Using her love of history, Jude will take weekly trips into the Leeds city centre to stand on a bench and recite Suffragette speeches to the crowds.
Jude said: ‘History has always been my thing and I’ve always taken tips that I’ve learnt through studying different eras such cleaning tricks from the Victorian times and beauty hacks from the 1940s.

‘It’s a very high maintenance lifestyle as everything has to be carefully planned from my vintage and authentic outfits and my hair needing to be prepped days before it’s needed in a certain style.
‘Sourcing the authentic garments has become increasingly difficult as there is now so much competition, you’re still able to get some steals but it varies as I have items for 50p as well as items for £200.
‘Through my work I often do sessions at schools and youth clubs but in my spare time I will get into my suffragettes outfit and go and recite authentic speeches to the public in Leeds city centre.
‘Presently I’d say I spend no more than £30 a month on my own wardrobe… However, I will save up for investment pieces, for example a stunning dress for £150.
‘I will buy clothing for my education work, anything from a WW2 apron to a Viking dress.
‘I’m always looking for new possibilities in my wardrobe, which could involve re-working items or pairing them with something else.Â
‘I’ve recently been putting together some 1950s and 1960s outfits.’
Jude is far from the first person to have transformed their wardrobe and life to fit in with the vintage style.
She has has been in love with vintage styles since she was 13 (pictured) and found her 1940s look in her late teen years which her family have always supported but always questioned whyÂ
She revealed how history has ‘always been her thing’ and said she had been studying different eras throughout her life (left and right, as a younger teen)Â
The 21-year-old, who now works as a historical impersonator, has always been obsessed with history – but it’s only been in the last few years that she began dressing in full vintage gear
While Jude has always loved learning about historical events, she confessed her family were questioned why when she began dressing according to the different eras
Roo Bee, 41, from Illinois, has spent years collecting 1950s memorabilia including 70-year-old sofas, a huge vintage refrigerator and old TV sets.Â
The history-mad writer also loves to dress as a 50s starlet while cooking old school recipes from antique cookbooks.Â
Roo said: ‘Everything in my house is vintage. Our house is a big old house so there is plenty for me to style.
‘My parents used to take me to antique markets when I was younger and I fell in love with the items from the 1930s througFh to the 1960s.
‘When I was little I imagined I could do whatever I wanted when I grew up and decorate how I want to decorate so I did just that.
‘I have so many individual vintage collections including books, kitchen ware, music players and even baby items – I even have a vintage baby scale which I love. My collection is huge, I have things both big and small.’
Meanwhile Kitten and Richard Von Mew, from Stratford-Upon-Avon, are also among the enthusiasts for the era.

She described her lifestyle as ‘very high maintenance’, explaining that ‘everything has to be carefully planned’
Jude said her lifestyle requires good organisational skills, as she looks for vintage and authentic outfits and even preps her hair for days to fall in a certain wayÂ
Jude explained that through her work, she often does sessions about suffragettes at schools and youth clubs

The two previously revealed how they only wear vintage clothes, follow the kind of diet a family living in the Blitz might have endured and let their young daughter Betsy only play with toys from the erstwhile age.Â
Burlesque fan Kitten got the bug for the decade when she started modelling as a Forties pin up in 2001.Â
She decided she liked the era so much she would embrace the lifestyle at home, and quickly converted construction site supervisor husband Richard.Â
