British glamour model Keeley Hazell went from posing on the cover of FHM to landing gigs in Hollywood after hooking up with stars including David Walliams and Jason Sudeikis.

Keeley, 35, from London, came from humble beginnings, and was born to mother Amber, a dinner lady, and her father Roy, a window fitter, in Bromley.

However as a teenager, she became known for her career as a glamour model – having found fame posing topless for The Sun’s Page 3, and regularly appearing in men’s magazines including FHM, Loaded, Nuts and Zoo Weekly.

After a short-lived music career, she was regularly spotted out on the London social circuit with stars including Walliams and presenter Steve Jones.

However following a minor role in the 2006 film Cashback, the model developed the acting bug and decided to hone her craft by spending time studying acting in Los Angeles.

It was there she met Jason, landing a role in his show Ted Lasso, and later having an on-off relationship with the father-of-two.

It emerged today the couple had reportedly split less than a year after they went public with their romance.

Keeley was born in Lewisham and grew up in Grove Park, in South East London with her father Roy, a window fitter and her mother Amber, who worked as a dinner lady.

Her parents split when she was 13-years-old and she has previously said her family were ‘poor’  and had ‘no money’ throughout her childhood.

She told The Independent in 2017: ‘I wanted to act from a young age and I didn’t seem like a reality for me growing up. My family were poor so really early I didn’t think that would be something that could happen.’

Throughout childhood Keeley dreamed of moving to the US to take acting classes, but she often played truant and struggled with her exams, in part due to her dyslexia.

She told The Sun: ‘I couldn’t abide by rules and found it restricting. Education is extremely important, but I like it on my own terms.’

At 16 she left school with ‘no education or income’ and says she took the first job she could working in a hair salon – admitting that she felt her lack of family connections would hold her back in the entertainment industry.

She told Huffington Post: ‘I left school at the age of 16 with no education or income; taking the first job I could get working in a hair salon.

‘It was there I realised that unless I was the daughter of someone famous, or from a wealthy, connected family, chances were I was going to struggle. That alone was enough to throw me into an enormous ball of panic.’

After her colleagues persuaded her to try modelling, the then-17-year-old competed in The Daily Star’s ‘Search for a Beach Babe’ contest and won.

While she was not old enough to pose on Page 3, she went on to study fashion at Lewisham College.

However after she went on to enter The Sun’s Page 3 Idol contest, she was named the winner in 2004.

She won £10,000 worth of ‘sexy clothes’, ‘a one-year membership of the Rex cinema and bar and a one-year exclusive glamour modelling contract with The Sun.

She went on to regularly appear in Nuts, FHM, Maxim and Zoo Weekly.

In 2006, she had a small role as ‘Frozen Girl in Sainsbury’s’ in the film Cashback, and the following year she was in talks with producers to be in a Baywatch movie.

But by 2007, she tried something new and released a pop music single called Voyeur. In the video, she could be seen writhing around a bed in her underwear as well as dancing on a pole.

While the music video now has over 1,000,000 views on YouTube, she quickly abandoned the music career.

That same year, she was also hailed by David Cameron as an ‘environment hero’ on a list which also included the likes of Sir David Attenborough and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Writing in Daily Mail in 2007, she said: ‘I’ve been interested in green issues for some time. I don’t see how anyone who reads the papers or listens to the news can fail to be.

‘Global warming is something that seriously worries me and I’m happy to do anything I can to help slow down climate change.’

Two years on, she decided to give up modelling and singing up to pursue a career in acting.

It emerged she was in America receiving acting lessons at renowned Lee Strasberg Theater And Film Institute.

Remembering the experience, she told the Daily Actor:I think it was great and I only see the positives. I only saw it as a fresh start and that was positive because that was what I needed and what I wanted. And the going out and doing that was kind of fun.

‘It was also a struggle. Struggle can be challenging and the challenge can be great, but it’s also a struggle when you haven’t done it.’

She landed her first role in 2010 in a short film Venus and the Sun, a comedic retelling of Ovid’s myth, Venus and Adonis.

Keeley then got her big break starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Felicity Jones in 2011’s rom-com Like Crazy.

The movie won both the Grand and a Special Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Meanwhile her acting jobs began to ramp up – she played a supporting role in the British gangster movie St George’s Day before starring in the 2013 comedy film Awful Nice and the 2015 horror film Whispers.

She returned to glamour modelling in 2013, and defended her decision to return after a 13-month long break.

She told Daily Mail: ‘I suppose I came to a realisation that being a serious actress and being on the cover of FHM don’t need to be mutually exclusive.

‘There’s this perception that you can’t be more than one thing. That if you’re dubbed ‘sexy’ you can no longer be anything else.

‘That you become intellectually uncomplicated, incapable of accomplishing anything other than appearing to be an object for men. And it’s rubbish.

‘Society tells you that you can’t be smart and sexy, and that’s totally wrong.’

The fiesty model continued: ‘The thing about sexiness is that it’s been painted as evil.

‘But the truth is that women want to be viewed as sexy. Shooting a cover like this is so empowering. It brings out a different side of you, which is incredibly liberating.’

It was 2014 when she landed a small role in the comedy flick Horrible Bosses 2 that she met her future beau.
