This is the sickening moment a group of miners laid bait for a brown bear only to blow it up with explosives.

Filmed at a remote Siberian mine, the workers killed the wild beast by luring it to food rigged with a bomb.

Bears are attracted to throwaway food at such locations and the miners laid a trap to snare the predator.

On the deeply shocking video, the men are heard speaking as the full-grown beast is attracted to a pot of food, and approaches.

They each comment on the scene they have cruelly set up: ‘He is handsome.

‘Get ready…’

‘Everyone, it’s getting close.’

‘Come on, it’s coming.’

‘It smells, it hears… ‘

‘It’s already near the pot…’

They discuss the ignition to trigger the bomb they have laid with the bait.

Then a voice says: ‘Do it now, let’s go. That’s it.’

It was not revealed if the outpost is a diamond or coal mine.

But officials in Yakutia – Russia’s coldest region – are charging the miners with use of explosives to destroy an animal, and with cruelty to wildlife.

Anti-animal cruelty Russian MP Vladimir Burmatov said: ‘I am already dealing with these degenerates.

‘We will put them in jail.’
