Here are some cheap and easy tricks that will keep your car clean and rubbish-free
Drivers have taken to TikTok to reveal incredible hacks to keep your car clean and tidy – and they cost as little as £5.
One TikTok user, @maizimmy, posted a video of her bemoaning the dirt and rubbish left in her vehicle by her children.
She pointed out that a small rubbish bin quickly overflows, and that her passengers would eventually end up using the floor to dispose of their waste anyway.
So she proposed a solution – buying a large rubbish bin and using velcro to secure it to the car door next to the front passenger seat.
The 44-second clip has been widely shared and liked more than 28,000 on the social media platform.
This car hack helps prevent people leaving rubbish in your car by using a bin attached by velcro
The TikTok user @maizimmy originally posted the video due to the dirt and rubbish left in her vehicle by her children
She says: ‘The trash situation in my car is starting to p*** me off. I got this minuscule little rubbish bin here, and it fits basically two water bottles.
‘Once it’s full, the floor becomes the trash can and I don’t want to do that any more.
‘I’m getting a real-size rubbish bin and some Velcro – let’s do industrial strength to ensure it stays upright.
‘Also, I can’t hang trash bags off of the back seats. I’ve got three car seats here, and I don’t think my little dudes sitting in the corner want trash sitting in their lap.
‘Remove the old rubbish bin and velcro the new one here. This is going to be so much better than using my floor, and passengers still have plenty of legroom.
‘This is velcro to the side, and we can detach it when we need to empty it.’
Another TikTok user, @cleaning_at83, shared her tips on how to get the interior of your car professionally cleaned.
Laura Williams’s TikTok shows a car cleaning spray being applied to the gear box of the car.
She then takes a paint brush to get into the tiny little gaps and crevasses to get the ‘stuck down crumbs in the sides and corners, leaving it squeaky clean’.
You may have to give the area an additional hoover afterwards, however, because the brush transfers crumbs around the car.

There is also a TikTok on a simple screen wash hack that can help you pour washing fluid more easily.
The video creator demonstrates how much more effective it is to pour the wash solution with the spout at the top.
This creates an air flow which then means the screen wash comes out smoothly.
