Harry Styles kicked off the Australian leg of his world tour in true blue style on Monday by doing a ‘shoey’ at his concert in Perth.
The British singer, 29, put on a stellar performance at HBF Park as temperatures exceeded well above 30 degrees.
Harry embraced the heatwave as he greeted the crowd, before surprising fans by drinking a beer out of his shoe – a bizarre Australian tradition that many international artists are known to reluctantly partake in when on tour.
‘Good evening Perth Australia! It’s hot down here, innit?’ he said to screaming fans.
‘Phew, a scorcher! Is everyone feeling alright? Are you drinking water? Did anyone bring hydration tablets?’

‘Before we go any further, my name is Harry. Thank you for spending this evening with us,’ he added.
‘My job tonight is to entertain you and I promise we will do our very best.’
The tattooed star rocked out in a pair of turquoise flared pants and an off-white T-shirt with sequins on the front, and sported painted fingernails.
He went on to impress the crowd by doing a ‘shoey’.

‘This one of the most disgusting traditions I’ve ever witnessed,’ Harry said, before necking a drink from his $1,170 Adidas x Gucci shoeÂ
The vomit-inducing party trick involves drinking a can of beer from a shoe.
It is commonplace for fans at concerts to chant ‘shoo-ey! shoo-ey!’ in the hope the performer will agree to take part in the tradition.

He has been wearing different colored versions of the shoes for almost every performance since the start of his ‘Love On Tour’.
‘I feel like a different person. I feel ashamed of myself,’ he said post-shoey.
‘It feels so personal. Such an intimate moment to be shared with so many people. I’ll be discussing this with my therapist at length.’
Aussie fans were also surprised when he modified his setlist by singing a cover version of Daryl Braithwaite’s classic anthem The Horses
Harry wowed the crowd with his hit songs like Watermelon Sugar, Golden and Adore You.
But Aussie fans were also surprised when he modified his setlist by singing Daryl Braithwaite’s classic anthem The Horses.
He ended the concert with What Makes You Beautiful, the song made famous by his former band One Direction, which drew enormous cheers from the crowd.
Harry touched down in Australia last week and was spotted shirtless on a yacht on the weekend on the Swan River in Western Australia.

The As It Was singer soaked up the sun with a group of friends and looked relaxed as he showed off his numerous tattoos on his arms and chest.
Following his Perth stint, Harry will head to Victoria on the weekend, before shows in Sydney and Queensland.
It comes after fans were warned by the operators of HBF Park, Venues West, that camping outside the venue is ‘strictly prohibited’ and will not lead to priority entry.
Any patrons found to be queueing or camping before the approved time were asked to move on and potentially refused entry.
Venues West expected a packed arena as all venues on Styles’ Australian tour were sold out in a matter of minutes.

Fans of Styles had been planning to camp out the front to get as close to the front of the stage as possible when the venue opens, using ‘early-line’ systems created by fans.
The systems use numbered wristbands that place fans into an order for entry, but they have subsequently been disavowed by Venues West.
A spokesperson for Venues West told WA Today the safety of staff and patrons is their number one priority.
They said early indicators suggest that large numbers of fans intended to camp outside, some for days, and it presented safety concerns.
Following his Perth stint, Harry will then head to Victoria on the weekend, before shows in Sydney and Queensland
