Sudeikis opted for a grey hoodie from his hometown of Kansas City, with a black baseball cap.
He completed his look with a pair of black jeans and a pair of black and white Nike low Dunk sneakers.
There had previously been talk from Sudeikis and others behind the show that the third season would be the show’s last, though it’s not clear if that’s still the plan.
‘This story is going to be over [in season three], regardless, even if the show finds another story to tell and goes on,’ said Bill Lawrence, who co-created the series with Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly, after Season 2 ended.
Hunt added in an August 2022 interview, ‘We are writing an ending for this three-chunk portion that we’ve always seen, but it’s not like Thanos is in it and half of us die.’
‘Most of us, anyway, will probably still be alive, so I don’t think leaving an out is anything to worry about. It’s just a matter of whether or not we pick this up in some other way, and when,’ he added.
Ted Lasso follows Jason Sudeikis’ title character, a Division II national champion-winning American football coach who is surprisingly hired to coach the AFC Richmond soccer team… despite having absolutely no experience coaching soccer.

At the end of the first season, he’s promoted from kit man to assistant coach, and his ‘false nine’ strategy helped the team get promoted back to the Premier League at the end of Season 2, after getting relegated at the end of Season 1.
While he eventually wins over his team, he learns that he was hired by AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) – who won the team from her ex Rupert (Anthony Head) in their nasty divorce proceedings – to tank the team as revenge for Rupert leaving her.
As for Nate, he begins the series as AFC Richmond’s ‘kit man,’ though he ultimately becomes Ted’s right-hand man and helps him learn the game.
But throughout the second season, Nate developed a severe animosity towards Lasso, which came to a head in the Season 2 finale.
It was revealed that Rupert had recently acquired the Premier League team West Ham United… with Nate leading the way as the team’s new head coach.
The series is based on a series of commercials NBC ran in 2013 to promote their coverage of the Premiere League, with Sudeikis playing Ted as the new coach of the Totenham Hotspurs.
Sudeikis will next be seen in the directorial debut of Charlie Day entitled Fool’s Paradise, which doesn’t have a release date set at this time.
Waddingham is currently filming an movie remake of the 1980s series The Fall Guy alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
