Hailee Steinfeld sends Hawkeye costar Jeremy Renner ‘love and prayers’ after snow plowing accident

Hailee Steinfeld wished Jeremy Renner a speedy recovery after his was airlifted to a hospital with ‘extensive injuries’ on New Year’s Day near his home in Reno, Nevada.

Days after the actor, 51, suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries from a horrifying snow plow accident, his Hawkeye costar, 26, reacted to the news on her Instagram Story.

‘Come on partner!!! Thank God you’re healing. We are sending you love and prayers for a speedy recovery,’ they Oscar nominee wrote under a selfie of the father-of-one in his hospital bed with visible bruises and scratches on his face.

Renner, who was in a critical condition following the accident, has had two surgeries that involved metal pins being placed around his leg.

Renner had been helping a family member with a personal vehicle that was stuck in the snow, Washoe County sheriff Darin Balaam said during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

He used the 14,330-pound snow plow to help the family member before getting out to speak with them.

During the conversation, ‘it was observed that the PistenBully [snow plow] was starting to roll,’ said Balaam.

At that point, Renner tried to get back in and was run over.

The sheriff added that police do not suspect foul play, nor does it suspect Renner was at all impaired at the time.

He said that neighbors ‘came out with towels’ and gave him first aid, though none were doctors.

Renner spoke with emergency services before being airlifted to a nearby hospital just before 10am local time.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Kristin Vietti revealed he was ‘receiving excellent care’ and with ‘his family.’
