Gucci girl! Gladys Berejiklian shows off her love for designer labels by clutching a $3,905 handbag as she undergoes a stylish transformation after politics

Gladys Berejiklian has undergone a style transformation after shaking off her high-profile life of politics.

On Wednesday, the former premier of New South Wales, 52, showed off her love of labels as she clutched a $3905 Gucci handbag at the Carla Zampatti fashion show in Sydney.

Ms Berejiklian, who now has a corporate job at Optus, looked elegant in a royal purple suit from the iconic Australian lapel, which featured a crossed lapel and split sleeves.

She completed her ensemble with a pair of black patent leather pumps and some expensive earrings.

Her driver held open an umbrella to protect her sleek bob from the elements as she ducked out of the car in the rain.

Ms Berejiklian opted for a minimal makeup look for the evening as she slicked on some earthy red lipstick.

Her new look is a far cry from plain black handbags and little known label she wore during her time in office.

She now often rocks designer ensembles and accessories as she attends events around the country.

The former premier abruptly resigned from office in September 2021 after the ICAC announced an investigation into her actions following claims she prioritised funding to projects pushed by her ex-partner and now ex-MP Daryl Maguire.

She is now the Managing Director of  Enterprise and Business at Optus.

‘I’m going in another different direction and I’m looking forward to the opportunities the next year brings,’ she told Nine radio at the time.

‘I’m looking forward to a much less public life.’

The Liberal Party had been hoping to convince her to run for the seat of Warringah, a key electorate currently held by independent MP Zali Steggall.

The telco’s CEO said in a statement in February last year that Ms Berejiklian would be a ‘game-changer’ for their department in charge of business customers.
