‘It’s on its last legs!’ Former The Apprentice hopeful Amy Anzel calls for series to be AXED as she slams each season for having ‘carbon copies of boring candidates’ from the past

Amy Anzel has called for The Apprentice to be axed, insisting the reality competition is on its ‘last legs’.

Entrepreneur Amy, 49, finished in sixth place on the BBC series last year and has now branded the aspiring business people who compete on the show ‘boring’.

Claiming the programme is now too repetitive, Amy told the Daily Star: ‘I really think that this show has become so formulaic with carbon copies of boring candidates from the past.’

Of this year’s series, she added: ‘This cast is boring. Why don’t they cast more interesting characters? I really think this show – if it doesn’t change what they’ve done in the past and make it new and exciting in some way – is on it’s last legs

She explained: ‘I have obviously got the launch of my new product, the lash shampoo, but as well as building that, I am going to be building a family.

‘When we were leaving the process and they were asking us how we felt, I honestly genuinely think everything happens for a reason.’

The star also revealed that she knows the sex of the baby but she is going to try and keep it a secret.

It comes after Denisha left Lord Sugar ‘unimpressed’ with her people skills.

As Lord Sugar delivered his damning final verdict and fired Denisha, he said in the boardroom: ‘Denisha, you had your chance to show me whether you were any good at logistics and dealing with people.

‘And I’m very sorry to say that you have not impressed me. So it is with regret, Denisha, that you’re fired.’
