Scandal-hit actor Ezra Miller, 29, has been accused of taking control of a teenage activist, plying her with alcohol, LSD and marijuana, and displaying ‘cult-like’ behavior toward her.Ā
Tokata Iron Eyes, now 18, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, met the Flash star when she was just 12 years old when the then 23-year-old Miller visited their reservation in North Dakota.Ā
The film star, who who identifies as non-binary and queer and uses the pronouns they/them,Ā would likely haven been filming Justice League at the time, where one of the sets was located in nearby Illinois.Ā
Tokata’s parents claim they sparked up an unlikely friendship and Miller even flew her to London two years later to visit the Fantastic Beasts studio.Ā
They also claim in a lawsuit that the actor, supplied their underage daughter with drugs and alcohol and disrupted her MassachusettsĀ private schooling to such an extent that she dropped out of in December. They said the actor had exhibited a ‘pattern of corrupting a minor.’Ā
Her parents also claimed Miller displayed ‘cult-like psychological manipulation’ and had ‘controlling behavior,’ according to People.Ā
Tokata’s father Chase Iron Eyes, a former Democratic House candidate for North Dakota, and his wife, said in their lawsuit:Ā ‘Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.’
The parents are asking the court to intervene and issue an order of protection against Miller on behalf of their daughter. A hearing is set for next month.Ā

When they flew to Miller’s home in Vermont in January to retrieve Tokata after she dropped out, they allegedly found bruises on her body and she no longer had a driving license, car keys or a bank card, TMZ reported.Ā
When the teenager was returned to her parents’ home, she fled again to New York to reunite with Miller and they have since allegedly been traveling together to Vermont, Hawaii and Los Angeles.Ā
Tokata dismissed her parents concerns in a post on social media, writing: ‘I’d like to make a statement to acknowledge the tragedy that is the narrative of the general public and the assumptions made on my behalf by my family and friends regarding my stability and otherwise.
‘I dropped out of bard five months ago, my friend and comrade William passed shortly there after, my mind was incredibly impacted and I’ve needed space and time for the processing of grief.
‘My comrade Ezra Miller for the entirety of the aforementioned era has only provided loving support and invaluable protection throughout this period of loss.’
Tokata began her life as an activist aged nineĀ when she testified against a uranium mine in the Black Hills.
She also was a prominent campaigner against the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline and has appeared alongside Greta Thunberg to discuss climate concerns.
Miller has been involved in a series of run-ins with the law involving drugs and violence.
In Hawaii in March, the actor reportedly hurled obscenities at a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke then tried to grab the microphone from her mid-song at Margarita Village Bar in Hilo.
On the same night, they lunged at a 32-year-old man who was playing darts at the bar and spat in his face. Police were eventually called in to deal with the out-of-control star.Ā
They laterĀ pleaded no contest and were fined $500 for disorderly conduct.
Weeks later,Ā Miller became irate after they were asked to leave a gathering and threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old woman on the forehead.Ā
The unidentified woman was left with aĀ half-inch cut but refused treatment, police said.Ā The Hollywood star was arrested 20 minutes after the attack during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea’au.Ā
The couple Miller was staying with bailed them out for $500 but then they issued a restraining order against the actor.Ā
The pair said Miller threatened them and robbed them while they were staying in the couple’s Hawaii home.Ā
The husband, who has not been publicly named, alleged that after returning home, Miller had a breakdown and threatened his wife, saying: ‘I will bury you and your s*** wife.’Ā
The couple has since dropped the petition for a restraining order.Ā
Warner Bros and DCĀ executives held an emergency meeting in March where they agreed to halt any future projects involving Miller, sources toldĀ Rolling Stone.Ā

Insiders told the publication that Miller, who has a history of ‘meltdowns,’ will not be involved in any public appearances for the DC Cinematic Universe despite Miller’s The Flash slated to premiere next year.Ā
Miller previously drew controversy in April 2020 when a video circulated that allegedly showed the actor choking a woman while at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, Variety reported.Ā

In the video, Miller grabs the woman by the throat and attempts to throw her to the ground.
‘Woah, bro. Bro,’ the person filming says.
A source told Variety the incident took place after ‘pushy fans’ approached Miller and the actor lost their temper.
Miller has never publicly addressed the incident.
Miller also made headlines in January when they posted a now-deleted video on Instagram threatening members of the Ku Klux Klan operating in Beulaville, North Carolina.
Miller was seen telling members of the Klan to kill themselves with their own guns, otherwise ‘we’ll do it for you if that’s what you want.’
Miller also had a run in with the law in 2011 where they were arrested for drug possession.
The actor, then 19, was the passenger in a vehicle in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when they were pulled over and cops reportedly discovered 20 grams of marijuana on them.
A judge would later drop the drug possession charge, but they were charged with two citations of disorderly conduct and ordered to pay a fine of $600.
