A small plane carrying a family of four crashed in the French Alps yesterday killing all four as well as the pilot, local rescue services said.
The tourist plane crashed moments after it took off from the Versoud airfield near Grenoble in southeast France, for what should have been a half-hour flight.
Witnesses reported seeing it crash in a field near the town of Isere and alerted emergency services.

When they arrived at the scene they were reported to have found the bodies of four adults and a child inside the wreckage.
Around 60 firefighters were on hand to tackle the fire at burnt out plane, which was reportedly on its maiden voyage.
According to local reports, the aircraft was a small Jodel D140 passenger plane.
There has been no report on the cause of the disaster and Grenoble prosecutors have ordered an investigation into what happened, said regional officials.
