Female Colombian judge suspended for three months for appearing semi-naked in Zoom COURT hearing 

A controversial judge who revels in taking her clothes off has been suspended for three months after she appeared semi-naked and smoking in bed during a Zoom court hearing.

Colombian Vivian Polania switched her laptop camera off after she was warned by one of the attendees she was being filmed in her underwear but the 33-second video subsequently went viral.

A solicitor made a formal complaint, sparking an investigation which led to a disciplinary commission telling the 34-year-old to hang up her robes till mid-February.

The decision comes two years after Vivian spoke out against critics who blasted her over photos she posted on social media showing off her muscles as well as the tattoos on her back and bum cheeks in a minuscule G-string.

The decision to suspend the judge comes two years after Vivian spoke out against critics who blasted her over photos she posted on social media showing off her muscles honed during punishing CrossFit sessions as well as the tattoos on her back and bum cheeks in a minuscule G-string

The publication of the photos in Colombian media led to her bosses carpeting her amid claims she was putting the administration of justice at risk by affecting the public’s confidence in her abilities to do her job properly.

Reports at the time said she had been placed under investigation after sharing saucy snaps of herself in lingerie for clothing discounts.

Vivian responded by insisting she was going to carry on posting daring photos on her Instagram, where she describes herself as ‘braless and open-minded’, insisting: ‘Not all judges, lawyers and other state employees are the same.

‘What I wear and show on my social media is my decision and I’m not going to change a thing.’

Vivian, full name Heidy Vivian Polania Franco, appeared to be slurring her words on the video of her in lying in bed and unconfirmed local reports are pointing to the possibility the fitness fanatic may have been tipsy.

She was filmed during a hearing to determine whether a man held over a car bomb terrorist attack in June last year should be bailed.

One stunned local who posted the footage on his Twitter feed said in a message alongside it: ‘In a WhatsApp video doing the rounds Vivian Polania who works at the Palace of Justice in Cucuta, is taking part in a hearing from her bed, semi-naked and smoking.

‘I don’t know if this could lead to some sort of sanction but it’s definitely going to generate controversy.’

Announcing its suspension decision, Colombia’s National Commission of Judicial Ethics said in a written ruling: ‘It is a duty of this commission to avoid repeating the judge’s contempt for the investiture of her position and the contempt she showed with her peers in the public prosecutor’s office, the prosecution and the defence.

‘We find no justification for the judge to have presented herself in such deplorable conditions when she had the facilities of her own home and all the amenities necessary to prepare for a public hearing appropriately and with the respect such a hearing deserved.’

Vivian, who was educated at a private Catholic university and is based in the city of Cucuta near Colombia’s border with Venezuela, has yet to make any comment.

In January last year a lawyer in Peru was caught having sex during a Zoom court hearing after inadvertently leaving his camera on.

Astonished court officials watched on as Hector Paredes Robles stripped off and sat on a chair before a naked brunette believed to be a client climbed on his lap.

Judge John Chahua Torres sent a police officer to intervene as a female aide tried to alert Paredes Robles his sex session was being watched and recorded on a live feed.

He later branded him a disgrace for his X-rated performance.
