Female carer is FIRED after shocking video emerges of her screaming at ‘bad’ toddlers in a mask

A Mississippi daycare worker apologized after she was fired following the release of a video that showed her wearing a horrific Halloween mask to scare misbehaving toddlers.

The Lil’ Blessing Childcare worker in Hamilton, who referred to herself as CeeCee, spoke out in an emotional 19-minute Facebook video following the release of footage showing her scare children who were ‘bad’ for not cleaning up.

In one of the horrific videos that surfaced on social media earlier this week, CeeCee is seen grabbing children who were running away in terror and getting inches away from their faces.

‘It wasn’t meant to harm anybody and it wasn’t ill-intentioned,’ CeeCee said in the video. ‘The teachers asked me if I would do it or if they could use [the mask] to get their class to listen or clean up . . . I’m not a child abuser.’

CeeCee has worked at the daycare center for almost four years, since she was 16. She said all the teachers knew her plan; the school’s owner did not.

‘I did not go in there at my own discretion. As in, I didn’t go in there with intentions to literally traumatize those children,’ she said, adding that the students either laughed, cried or stared blankly at her.

‘I expected them to react the way they reacted when I did it,’ CeeCee said.

The former childcare worker said the children she taught ‘were her life’ and will never step foot in a daycare facility again.

‘Long story short, I bought the masks to scare her eventually and they were used inappropriately,’ CeeCee said.

‘But what you all didn’t see was after I had left the room, I took it off and I went back into the classroom… and I said “CeeCee got the monster. It’s not coming back.” And they would hug me. I known those kids their whole life.’

Throughout CeeCee’s 19-minute video she explained the toddlers reacted emotionally because ‘they are children.’

‘I do want to say an example, I know it seem the way that it does, but it doesn’t have to be that way,’ CeeCee explained.

‘So like, I remember last Christmas there were these kids taking Christmas pictures and they would have the Grinch hiding in the bush over there and it would come out, scare the kids, and they would run – and people thought that was funny… essentially it’s the same thing, it is the same thing.’

She later added: ‘They knew it was me, and they had the reaction they did cause they’re children and that’s it.’

CeeCee didn’t post the video on her personal social media account but through a third-party user named Richard McCandless.

The video was reposted by Ashley Wood, whose son attended the day care. Wood stood up for CeeCee and asked the public to stop with the slandering and death threats.

‘There will be consequences but it’s not our place to judge anyone or even make someone feel so alone and down,’ Wood wrote on Facebook. ‘[It] isn’t right. I don’t wish cece no bad on her. Was it wrong YES. I’m not saying it’s not and she knows that’s – and is what she is trying to get thru to everyone she is truly sorry.’

The video of CeeCee terrorizing the children was widely shared online as one woman in the background was instructing the masked teacher to avoid certain toddlers who have ‘been good’ by saying ‘don’t get her.’

Footage that goes on for more than two minutes shows the woman at one point lean over to one child who was ‘bad’ and asking: ‘Are you being bad? Do I need to take you outside?’

The child, visibly upset and attempting to hide his face from the woman in the mask, cries out ‘no’ and shakes his head at her question.

Despite his response, the woman screams directly into the young boy’s face before yelling ‘you better be good.’

The daycare worker then switches classrooms as kids in the first room continue to cry, telling the second group of children ‘y’all better be ready.’

At least three children can be seen then attempting to hide behind an shelving unit as the woman pounds on the door.

Monroe County officials say they are investigating the videos from inside the daycare

Jennifer Kayla Newman, a daycare worker who claims to have filmed the videos, shared a long response on Facebook Thursday, saying she recorded the incidents not because she thought it was funny, but because she was trying to show parents her coworkers’ actions.

‘A couple of weeks ago some girls at the daycare bought Halloween masks to scare the kids, they did it and I never got it on video,’ she said.

The daycare worker went on to claim that her idea to record came from previous ‘slaps on the wrist’ that were given to her coworkers over issues she brought up to the owners without proof.

‘When I heard she was going to do it again, I recorded to get the proof and then the video was sent to parents to show them how their child was being treated,’ the woman wrote.

‘I did not video this for sh**s and giggles. It was not funny to me. I did not get amusement out of this. The one screaming in the kids faces is NOT me. The one standing next to the girl screaming is NOT me. That laughing in the video is NOT me,’ Newman said on Facebook.

Police in Monroe County are currently investigating the situation after many residents called officials to complain.

In a statement released on Facebook Thursday, officials said that they are investigating the incident.

‘The Monroe County, MS Sheriff’s Department is aware of video from the daycare in Hamilton and is working with the county prosecutor to see if there is any possible criminal charges that can be filed, a post said.
