‘They are both sure they have found their soulmates’: Faye Brookes ‘is engaged’ to her beau Iwan Lewis after just four months of dating

Faye Brookes is engaged to her beau Iwan Lewis after a whirlwind romance, a new report has claimed.

The Coronation Street star, 35, has been dating fellow actor Iwan since October and only went Instagram official in late December 2022.

She made a low-key appearance at the Cirque du Soleil event in London last week and wore a sparkler on her wedding ring finger.

A source told The Sun: ‘Faye and Iwan are engaged and could not be happier about it.

‘They have only been dating for a short amount of time but they are both sure they have found their soulmates in each other.

‘Faye has kept the news low key but she has been wearing her engagement ring in public. They recently moved in together and getting engaged was the cherry on the cake.’

Representatives for Faye have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

The pair previously starred in a production of Legally Blonde together in 2011-2012 and remained friends ever since.

In December they went Instagram official as Faye shared a photo of the pair silhouetted in front of the window as they wrapped their arms around each other for a steamy kiss.

Tagging Iwan in the photo, the former Dancing On Ice star captioned the romantic snap with a love heart.

Several of the soap star’s fans commented on the post saying Iwan was ‘lucky to be dating her.

Faye was previously in a relationship with personal trainer Joe Davis but they split up in July after three years of dating.

Iwan is a Welsh theatre and film actor. He is best known for the role of Emmett in the UK tour of the stage version of Legally Blonde.

In August Faye took to her on social media to reveal that that she and her former beau Joe decided to end their relationship after three years together.

Faye, who is best known for playing Kate Connor in the ITV soap opera, took to Twitter to confirm the news telling her fans they they had ‘very sadly’ split.

Posting to her 85,000 followers on the app, she wrote: ‘Just wanted to say that, very sadly, after nearly three years Joe and I have decided to go our separate ways.

‘We had the most wonderful of times, and our mutual respect, admiration and friendship remains stronger than ever.’

The news came after Faye revealed in February 2021 her and Joe’s plans to get married and have children as she declared he was the ‘best cheerleader’ when she appeared on Dancing On Ice.

When asked if an engagement is on the cards, Faye told OK! magazine: ‘I would love to get married and I know Joe would too, but right now we love our lives and there is no pressure.’

Her partner Joe concurred: ‘There’s a huge future ahead for both of us and we’re on our own journey.’

The Dancing On Ice star previously dated singer Gareth Gates.

The couple dated on and off for seven years and got engaged in January 2019, but Faye and Gareth called off the wedding in August that year and split.

A source close to the singer at the time claimed that although the pair want to remain friends, they couldn’t make their relationship work.

An insider told Manchester Evening News: ‘Faye and Gareth are both extremely sad about their relationship ending.

‘They still care very much about each other and want to remain friends, but the wedding has been called off.

‘They tried to make it work but sadly it’s not meant to be.’

Faye is said to have thrown herself into work in a bid to help with her heartbreak.
